The single-shot Barrett M99 is more accurate than the Barrett Model 82A1, and about half the cost. It is also lighter and can be shoulder-fired. I absolutely love my fluted M99, and I'm about to buy a non-fluted model (for a little extra burn length and slightly greater weight to make recoil even more manageable. Barrett really hit it out of the park with these rifles. This is about as big and powerful of a rifle you can possibly own, so go big or go home. Get one. Get two. You won't be disappointed.
