The 686 Silver Pigeon I hunting shotgun has all the functional features of our premium over-unders at a particularly attractive price. At its heart, it has the best-in-class 686 action, which is compact and low-profile while being extremely strong. Whether you take it to an upland hunt or to the clay range, the Silver Pigeon I gives you the flawless performance and the classic looks of a Beretta. Featuring classic lines, the most-durable action on the market and the flexibility of the Beretta Mobil-Choke system, the 686 Silver Pigeon I was designed to last through generations of hunters. The Silver Pigeon I is built on the legendary 686 action, a long-standing favorite among hunters and competitive shooters. It features two conical locking lugs at mid-action, right between the barrels, giving it great locking strength and durability while keeping the action’s profile considerably lower. The advantage is that the eye of the shooter is a lot closer to the plane of his supporting hand – considerably better swing and hand-eye coordination.

2 years agoI have 28ga, 20ga, and 12ga. All with 26”inch barrels. Use 28 for quail, grouse, woodcock and rabbits, 20 for grouse and woodcock, 12 for pheasant. All these guns are light enough to carry in the field all day. The 28 might be my favorite. Usually get compliments on them from other people when they see them. The guns have always been dependable.

2 years agoBeretta has been making firearms for nearly 500 years. Hard to beat that pedigree. Some say it is a little pricey, but it is a great well balanced field gun which you will not wear out in your lifetime. If you are an average build it should fit you perfectly off the shelf.

2 years agoFantastic gun. It just feels right in your hands. One of the top guns on the market in its class and I have been impressed. Smooth action (open/close) and extremely simple assemble/disassemble. Ordering process was quick and easy.

2 years agoThe receiver is lower than my Browning Citori, making it harder to get the bead on target. It therefor has a tendency to shoot over the clay pigeon.

2 years agoI'll never buy another firearm from Bass Pro Shops. The initial visit took 3 hours, and the one to pick up the firearm (10 days later) was 2 hours. Yes, CA is a hard place to purchase guns. But, I have purchased multiple firearms in this state from other gun shops. They can do it much more efficiently than Bass Pro Shops and at a similar (if not lower) price. I have had a 12GA Beretta Silver Pigeon for years. I am sure that the 20GA version that I just purchased will be just as excellent a shotgun. But, the store's processes are horrible!

2 years agoNOT GOOD!!!! WITHIN 15 DAYS OF PURCHASE, I HAD TO SEND BACK A BRAND NEW $2000 DOLLAR BERETTA OVER/UNDER DUE TO MISS FIRE AND NOT ALLOWING SECOND SHOT TO FIRE. MISSED OUT ON THIS YEARS HUNTING SEASON, I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED TO SAY THE LEAST!!!!! BERETTA USA CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SUB PAR AT BEST. I WOULD NOT PURCHASE BERETTA FIREARMS IN THE FUTURE!

2 years agoThe gun's metal work was beautiful, but just a bit of over buffing, which started to smear the markings. The wood was a horrible piece of boring walnut, with unfinished half done checkering. I would have expected much better for a $2000 shotgun! If Beretta doesn't raise their game, they will be out of business soon.

2 years agoI do really like it! I had to have an inch cut off the length of the stalk. I also had to have the safety worked over so I could use it. I couldn't budge it. Love how light it is and with no recoil. The wood on the stalk is fairly pleasing. It will be perfect in the field.

2 years agoDamn fine shotgun have gone through over 100+ rounds clay shooting and not one misstep. Beautiful gun with smooth action and dead on when you raise it to your shoulder.

2 years agoI brought it out and shot clays right out of the box. It shot great. I don’t believe any adjustments are needed with this shot gun.
