2 years agoJust received mine at Cabela’s yesterday and took it to the range today. To clear up some internet confusion, the slide is not as easy to rack as the S&W EZ, but it is easier than the previous model 84. There is also a lot of chatter about a cocked & locked position on the safety. There is no such position. If you push-up to decock the hammer, push past the initial resistance until the hammer falls just like the manual says. This guns feels great in the hand. It is extremely accurate and reliable. Perceived recoil is much less than the 84 series. Mine also functioned flawlessly with my model 84 magazines. I have several of the Beretta series 80 guns and this one is the best.

1 year agoI own 7 other Berettas and love them all but my new Cheetah is officially my favorite! It fits perfectly in my palm, is easy to shoot and I love that it’s built for us ladies :)

1 year agoThe new Beretta 80X Cheetah is awesome. It handles well and is very accurate. I've put about 75 rounds through it so far and it has performed flawlessly. I've used Blazer Brass 95gr FMJ, Aguila 95gr FMJ and Winchester white box 95gr flat tip FMJ. It fired all of them without any issues. The Blazer seems to be most accurate so far. Tight 1" to 2" groups at 7 yards are fairly easy if I do my part. The magazines are a bit tough to load since they are new but, using a loader makes things easier. This gun feels so good in the hand because it's all metal and has a little extra weight compared to other polymer frame 380 pistols. In other words, it feels like a real gun. It's making me seriously reconsider adding any more plastic guns to my collection. You could say it feels like a small version of the model 92X or M9A3. Very cool gun!

1 year agoIn reassembly, lever would not lock back in place. CABELLAS SAID NOT THEIR PROBLEM, go see a gun smith. At range, magazine release button was stuck and would not work. Had to see a gun smith again. Magazine springs so strong can only load 10 rounds, not the promised 13. When working properly, good gun, very accurate, comfortable grip. Would I buy again, No.

1 year agoPicked up my 80x last week, and thanks to Cabelas for supporting vets and the military. I put about 150 rounds down range without issues. It's very accurate and it has a very good trigger. I especially like the half-cock position. When you drop the hammer with the safety, the hammer and trigger are at half-cock. The double action trigger stroke is reduced quite a bit. The single action trigger is also very good. +P rounds have a bit of snap, but nothing major.

1 year agoA versatile pistol best suited as a backup concealed carry weapon, perfect for my needs when holstered in either a shoulder holster or my offhand holster. It holds almost double the ammo capacity as most other .380s with 13+1.

1 year agoPurchased this pistol for my wife as the slide is much easier to cycle and the pistol is more slanted toward shooting than concealment. Excellent Beretta quality and great iron sights, although I plan to install a red dot sight as soon as Beretta releases the mounting plates. My 16 year old grand-daughter fired this pistol as her first time and had a very respectable group at 25 yards. I have a mddel of the first Cheetah pistols and the new one is much improved.

1 year agoVery accurate and high quality as are all Beretta products. Deducted one star as the blowback operation makes it a bit harder to rack the slide than I was expecting. Serrations on front and back of slide help though.

1 year agoThis is a great pistol especially for those who appreciate hammer fired da/sa with decocker. .380 is just fine for concealed carry with today’s available ammo. Right now IWB holsters are limited.

1 year agoWent shooting this Sunday and the sight is amazingly accurate. The gun is also lighter then the .38 revolver I carry and I appreciated that difference. The part I don't like is the magazine is hard to load. So hard in fact, that my husband had a hard even doing it for me.

1 year agoSweet shooter! Accurate, and comfortable, with top of the line fit and finish Some reviews claim safety issues with decocker/safety but I don’t find much merit; there is no middle ground for lever. You engage the safety all the way to decock and engage safety; You flip it to fire mode in DA, follow up in SA. Those that don’t should re-evaluate their personal firearm safety - not take issue with Beretta (not to mention the manual covers this). Great gun!

1 year agoThis has been a great pistol. Feels great in my hand, have not had a single failure with 250 rounds through it. Took little while to learn how to handle the blowback recoil, but relaxing the arms and locking the wrists without a death grip changed everything. No trouble with beaver tail bite that some reported. Love the weight and reliability, just hope I can find an OWB holster. Nothing out there yet. Waited for this along time and very pleased.

1 year agoGreat little gun. And by little I mean compact size. You can't do cocked and locked but you don't need to. It's safe enough using the double single for carry.

1 year agoThis model 80x is an Ideal companion to a full sized 92FS. Great feel in a medium sized hand, nice trigger pull. Only down point is an adapter is need to add a slide mounted optic- not included/ Customer Service can't even tell where the H adapter is available from. Added a CT green dot laser to lower rail, easy to turn on/off with trigger finger....Read More Read more about review stating Great new model

1 year agoOutstanding pistol, I have several 84BB and 84F but this 80X is far superior. The grip is huge improvement, the lighter springs are as well. Accuracy is typical Beretta quality with very low recoil.

1 year agoLove all my Berettas, this is a great CCW piece, high quality and capacity. It has a great feel and is very accurate. It’s the best 380 I’ve ever had and recommended it to anyone how wants a great firearm , that carries the tradition of the Beretta name. The Cheetah does that. Ed Brown Broomall, Pa

1 year agoI always wanted a quality.380 auto pistol and this Beretta 80X has everything I wanted, it’s has the perfect size and weight for a concealed carry handgun, it has a really light trigger pull for either single or double action, this gun is worth the price I paid.
