Like willie I also own an A400 extreme plus which I absolutely love but I wanted a 20ga auto as well. I picked up the 20gs about a month ago and have shot a handful of sharpies (#5 1 ounce fiocchi @1330) and some ducks (#4 7/8 ounce @ 1550) with it as well and as everyone has already said the recoil is essentially non existent. Gun has functioned flawlessly so far and oversized controls are really nice. Like willie as well, I also got two IC chokes and a full. I bought aftermarket chokes so I really did not care. Fit & finish is absolutely incredibly for the price. Just buy it, you won’t regret it.

The first 19 rounds were fine at about 20 the trigger stop resetting and the trigger lock would not engage either. Sounds like its a common issue on these units..

Nice gun, a little worried about the durability of the stock but we will see. Soft shooter for sure.

Bought a dozen of these for our operation. We've had to replace the trigger mechanism on 3 of them because the trigger malfunctions and locks the safety up. Worse yet, either the ball spring that holds the bolt handles or the bolt handles themselves aren't machined correctly. Fall out easily or "fly" apart when the gun cycles. Oversight on Beretta. WHEN everything is fixed and working it's a great gun. Fix the ones that are out before you send more for sale.

Picked this up a few weeks ago and have cycled around 100 rounds through with no issues whatsoever. I love the oversized bolt handle and release and the machines out loading port. The recoil is almost non-existent due to the kick off system which is a very nice addition especially for the price. The only thing I would improve is to oversize the trigger guard a bit as it feels a little tight with a glove on. Outside of that it shot like a dream out of the box and I've been extremely satisfied so far.

My brother had the A300 Outlander for years and we've been impressed by the quality and great functioning firearm. I bought the A300 Ultima in 20 gauge, expecting great things...boy was I wrong! The gun came with two IC chokes instead of a modified one. The gas tube was discolored and not even properly treated. Finally, the choke tubes will come loose after every shot, despite my securing them properly before shooting. I've been trying to get ahold of customer service via email and phone for the past 4 weeks and still can not get ahold of them. I even waited 2 hours on the phone one time and no one picked up. Beretta went down the tubes and their quality is shoddy at best now...I will be demanding a refund.

I had this gun for about 100 rounds before I traded it off. It wouldn't always reset the trigger after a shot. Which means you are sitting there with a gun that won't shoot. It is really annoying when you are in the middle of a dove hunt and your gun doesn't work.

bought this gun 6 months ago, I tried 6 or 7 kinds of shells and they always wont cycle, I sent it to the warranty 2 times and each time they say it is working fine and I have to use specific ( very expensive ) shells . no thank you

I broke this gun in a few weeks ago. While at first it had some trouble ejecting my low-velocity target rounds, it improved as I cycled more through it, and it really was solid for heavier load. The kick on this gun is amazingly light -- especially considering how light the gun is. I am very happy with the purchase.

A pleasure to shoot. We’ll built, great action. Shooting this gun is still comfortable that one does not even feel any recoil.

I ordered the firearm online and went to pick it up at the store. It came with some scratches and I felt that the firearm was demaged or used.

Purchased this gun late last year and shot a few times in the spring. The gun had timing and cycling issues and sent to Beretta for customer support. Shipped in June and still have not received a return. Each time I am told their calibration machine is down and awaiting parts. It is now December, still no gun and no ETA on when it will be returned fixed and ready to shoot.

After putting 100 rounds through this gun, the plastic in the kick off stock shattered. I would think paying over $900 for a gun, it’s not going to break after only putting a couple rounds through it.

Purchased this gun recently and had it out to the range today. It pointed and swung well for me. The gun aims true for sporting clays and patterned well out to 50 yards for the upcoming turkey season. My grandson will use it for turkey hunting. The recoil was mild even with 3" turkey loads so it will be helpful for his accuracy.

I just bought a 20 gauge A300 Ultima, it seems not liking the Winchester target load at 1200 FPS. Federal load seems to work well with this gun. I will use Federal 1250 FPS going forward.

Working well. 200+ rounds of cheap light target loads and only one failure to feed in the first five rounds. Otherwise, it’s working perfectly. Fit and finish are a little lacking for Beretta standards. Some paint chipping and gouges that seem to have happened in initial assembly, but nothing that affects the operation of the gun.

I bought an A300 Ultima from a local gun shop in 2021 and liked it a lot. Went to Boise Cabela's in December '22 to pick up a second one in camo. When I got the shotgun home, I noticed that the camo hydrodip hadn't covered the end of the barrel, and the forend had a lot of play in it. When I took it out hunting for the first time, I found that the kickoff spring was not working, so provided no recoil reduction - which is one of the major pros of this gun in my opinion. (On my first one, the kickoff is great. Makes the 12 gauge feel like a 20). Cabela's has a plaque that indicates all firearms sales are final, but that they will replace or repair a firearm if it has manufacturer defects and you bring it back within 30 days. I did so, and they denied that policy and said it was a Bass Pro Shops policy - and that their sign on the gun counter wasn't supposed to be there. They did ship it to Beretta for me. 6 months later, I've contacted Beretta twice and they have no ETA on when they will have the gun returned. They are "waiting on parts" but also said they are not going to fix the kickoff. So, it can be a great shotgun. But apparently there are some real quality control issues, and Beretta and Cabela's don't seem to be doing much to fix it. Apparently you better do a real good job inspecting for a firearm for manufacturer defects at Cabela's before you purchase it. One would assume they are only selling new firearms in new, working condition, but clearly that's not the case.

I read the reviews prior to purchase. There is a definite cheek pinch from the KO in the stock. Mine turned purple after about 70 rounds. I changed out the KO with the replacement provided by Beretta that was in the box and i have not shot it since. The functionality is awesome, and for someone who has not shot much over the last several years i was getting two out of the clays. Time will tell.
