1 year agoBe early and patient as the firearms department gets busy. I waited through the process for about two and a half hours and the people that work there are awesome!!.

1 year agoFirst, the process. Ordered it online, arrived to the store within a week, and the verification process was a bit long but very thorough. Now, the shotgun. Just as described in the videos I saw. Smooth, accurate, exactly what I was looking for. Even though I like my Mossberg MLok 590, this Beretta is also excellent. After firing this one a few times, I am liking it a lot. Definitely purchase Beretta again.

1 year agoAbout 400 rounds in, and with the exception of Fiocchi’s Defence dynamic 1250fps 00, it has been flawless, that stuff just seems too light, it cycles fine but doesnt lock open when empty. Of the ~400 rounds, about 2 boxes were birdshot, about 50-60 slugs, and the rest a combo of federal, Winchester, and Fiocchi buckshot and it has been great. The best slug groups I’ve gotten have been with brenneke ATS slugs, and the buck has all patterned basically the same as my other higher end shotguns (1301 and an M4). I am Limited on Federal Buck, so I only put 5 rounds through it but it patterned a cycled as expected, and flite-control is the only way I’d consider it for home defense. Compared to the M4, it is a lot lighter and easier to manage, but slower on follow up shots with a much more sharp recoil. It does feel like it cycles faster than the M4, but not near as fast as the 1301. The 1301 does seem a little heavier but beretta claims they’re the same, and the forend has much better texture and contour for shooting. The load port is what makes this gun unique to itself, it’s much better than the 1301 and blows the M4 out of the water. I can easily twin load this without even thinking about it, when it has to be very deliberate on the 1301 and is next to impossible for me and my big thumbs on the M4. The only real negative is the QD socket on the stock, it is in a very poor location for manipulation and reloads (6 o’clock) and it also won’t lock into place because of the way they recessed it. It’s easy to find YouTube videos of the issue and how to fix it, but I’m running an M16A4 butt strap to get the sling to the 9 o’clock position on the stock. I’ll be bedding a good QD socket at that location eventually, but that is the only thing on this shotgun that I feel like is a real failure on the design. Bottom line, for $1000 I don’t think there is a better shotgun out there. I’d like to put it side by side with a 940, but it’s the only one that I think could compete with it.
Disappointed in Beretta
1 year agoI just bought this firearm home an hour ago and am completely disappointed with the quality. The joint between the stock and the recoil pad looks like someone took a utility knife to it during manufacture, and the stock feels hollow. The operating handle appears scratched and worn. It's just not the level quality and precision I would have expected from a Beretta firearm.

1 year agoOrdered on line with Bass Pro and picked up four days later at Nashville location. Process to purchase was easy and very professional. Employees helping with purchase were outstanding. Great recommendations for accessories and will definitely return for future purchases.

1 year agoShot my new A300 Ultima Patrol for the first time today. Really liked it - much less recoil than my old Remington 870 pump shotgun. The 3" shells still produced brutal recoil, but the 2-3/4" shells were perfect. The 7+1 magazine capacity is a great feature for home defense.

1 year agoCant really say much because ive only put 15 rounds through it. Looks great, shoots great {15 rds}, nice to hold, in some respects this A300 seems like and old reliable friend. Will be doing small UPDATES like a larger charging knob, single point sling mount, replace plastic loading tube cover and bracket and shoot the heck out of it. Highly recommended unless you can afford the big brother 1301…ill keep my a300 thank you.

1 year agoGood alternative for those who don't want to drop 2gs on a combat shotgun. Serrated grip on synthetic stock is a little too good. So good, it can break the soft part of your skin with enough force. It feels light on the hands which gives plenty of leeway for attachments. If I had to say something bad about this particular A300 series; it is just that berreta does not have any exclusive upgrades for it. Probably a market strategy for an A400 Ultima Patrol launch.

1 year agoLove it. Fun and pretty. Have a grey Slingster and a few 7 round Esstac shotshell cards. The only problem is the barrel/mag tube clamp. It slides around but some green loctite works for that! Federal Flitecontrol 00 throws a crazy tight pattern.

1 year agoGreat gun, shoots any round I put in it. Being a smooth bore makes it great for all load types. If you are in the market for a tactical/home defense shotgun, this is the one. If you can get your hands on it...
