1 year agoBought an a400 xtreme last year. Shot TSS through a choke that was capable of handling it. Problems with the Optima HP system caused the choke to expand and cause a small barrel bulge. Not worth wasting $1700 for Beretta to tell you it is not covered and have to spend $800 on a new barrel.

1 year agoSo far only been out skeet shooting with it, about 200 rds through it with no malfunctions. feels even and swings good.

1 year agoThis shotgun is an absolute blast to shoot. I have been shooting a Beretta AL391 Eureka 2 for the better part of 15 years. I absolutely love that gun and decided I wanted a gun I wasn’t afraid to take into the field. I have definitely found that in this gun. I only have one nit pick on this gun. All the Berettas I have ever seen always come in a plastic box, it isn’t much but it is part of the appeal of buying a $2,000 gun. Temper your expectations if you buy through Bass Pro, as this gun will come in a cardboard box and have no way for you to carry it around. I still rate this gun 100/100 but if you aren’t ready for it, the lack of a case is a frustrating and slightly upsetting shock. In regards to the lower recoil, it’s absolutely true. The gun shoots extremely soft. Even my mother who is getting close to 70 was able to shoot it and enjoy it.

1 year agoI really want to give it 5 stars but it has ruined a few hunts for me. I didn’t remove the firing pin when i bought it. i had several cold hunts where it light-striked primers because the rotating bolt head was catching and not allowing bolt to fully close. Took bolt apart to clean it all up and has been fine. Gun was THOROUGHLY cleaned and cared for otherwise (mostly dry - v low oil) so i couldn’t figure it out. Reading forums - this is common with all Beretta with rotating bolt head. Lesson … Read More

1 year agoBest shot gun i have ever owned. I have the A350 which is identical the same gun except the kick off system and it really does make a difference when shooting 3.5 inch shells !

1 year agoI bought a sbe 3 , and was not happy with the way it patterned. I was so upset I went and spent another chunk on the a400 xtreme plus. It is AWESOME! PATTERNS 50/50 and is a smooth shooting gun. I should of went with beretta to begin with instead of benelli.

1 year agoI’m very happy with this gun so far. I shot a box of shells through it the day after I picked it up. Right out of the box it cycled three 2 3/4” target loads without jamming. The kickoff system significantly reduced recoil. I’m looking forward giving it the real test this coming waterfowl season.

1 year agoThis gun is so easy to shoot. After decades of shooting a pump, i finally upgraded. I went all in and got what i've been wanting for years. So far it is worth the extra cost. I have been shooting 3 in. Mags. And the recoil feels like i'm using trap loads. Fifty rounds and it takes everything, no malfunctions of any kind.

1 year agoBest gun I have ever used for Duck & Goose hunting.. Have 2 friends who shot it and both sold their Benelli's and bought the A400

1 year agoThis gun is amazing. One of the 3 B's that a hunter should own. Great gun with zero kick in my opinion. Easy break down to clean. Love this gun

1 year agoHands down best shotgun I have ever owned. SBE3 patterns and shoots so high it was ridiculous. Friend had a A400XP and let me shoot it. WOW… had to have one. Don’t believe the inertia guys saying you have to clean it all the time. Clean at beginning of duck season and just wiped down like my Benelli…not a hiccup. Best gun hands down for waterfowl. Kickoff really takes kick out the Roman Candles too!

1 year agoBought it & took it up to Alberta for a few weeks of hunting. Great patterns for decoying waterfowl using the IC choke with steel shot. I didn’t clean it the entire time & only had a couple issues but found it was related to the Kent ammo I was using.

1 year agoThis gun has put down a lot of animals since I got it. I've gone duck hunting, goose hunting, rabbit and squirrel hunting, and some nice rounds of trap. Haven't had a single failed cycle yet. Recoil is minimal, shoulders very well, shoots straight on, and if you're worried about the weight, it hasn't bothered me yet.
