Bergara B-14 R .22lr Bolt Action Rifle, Gray – B14R002

Concept is great, very nice rifle overall. Unfortunately accuracy is very, very bad with a suppressor installed. Obviously an issue with the cheap "carbon" barrel which is a tension barrel. Should have went full steel bull barrel for can use. Not sure why they even bother to thread the carbon barrel as its obviously not meant to use with a can. Not sure if too light of a steel liner or if there is a machining issue with the nuts that hold the steel liner in tension?

Ordered on Monday and received in Louisiana on Wednesday! Love Eurooptic! Great bolt action rimfire. Stock is highly adjustable. Trigger isn't match quality, but good enough for most. Bolt cycles great and ejects casings well. Need to clean barrel before shooting as there was a lot of 'junk' from factory cutting. Once cleaned, ran borescope through bore - great chamber with angle to engage rifling, little to no manufacturing scars, and crown looked good. Accuracy - bolt grabs bullet and 'free floats' it into chamber avoiding dings on bullet nose. Once bolted, the rifling engages nicely on the bullet shoulder with all rounds tested. After 500 round break in. Fired 7 different round types. CCI, Wolf Match Extra, Armscor, Federal Auto match, SK biathalon, SK magazine, Norma Match. Wolf Match Extra and Norma Match are producing sub MOA to MOA groups. Will be testing Eley soon.

Barrel was crooked in stock. Barrel is not carbon wrapped, but a carbon tube over a thinner-than-sporter barrel. Bolt chattered down the raceway. Sold it for a loss. Bought the steel barrel version, which is 10/10 so far.

Great rifle. Shoots far better than I can. When the current rimfire ammunition shortage abates, I am looking forward to testing it with a wider variety of ammunition.

After barrel break-in (1-9 twist) I develop a load resulting in .250 x .665, 4 round group at 100 yards. Longer distance to come. Load: Sierra 69 gr. Match King, 35.5 grains of IMR 4350, Winchester L/R primer. Still working on bullet jump. Low recoil, very accurate.

After arriving home I disassembled, cleaned, and lubricated it, as it was completely dry from the factory. I torqued the action screws to 20 in lbs. that always works well for me. The next week I fired it for the first time, and was amazed at the smooth bolt cycling, and accuracy with Norma Tac 22 at 50 yds. The accuracy, is certainly the rifle, and not me LOL. I highly recommend this rifle to anyone looking for a reasonably priced upscale target .22. Thank you Bergara, and Sportsmans Warehouse!

Love the rifle. Shoots and functions smoothly and consistently. I paid to have the scope mounted. That was the only issue. It was not mounted level and I ended up having to redo it.

My kids and I really enjoy this rifle as well as everyone else that shoots it. I have a Bergara Steel B14-R with a TriggerTech Diamond and the kids are always fighting over who gets to shoot it, so I picked up the Carbon rifle. They are identical with the exception of the trigger only because I haven't had a chance to install a the new trigger yet. Saving that pound off the steel is quite noticeable when carrying them side-by-side but not much when it's on the bench. My B14R Steel is around

Fantastic rifle, boringly accurate with good .22 ammo, excellent with bulk ammo too. The action was smooth from the start with a slight bit of extra effort to close the action. The stock is comfortable and has plenty of adjustment. I shoot predominantly from the bench and have longer than average pull length, but still removed one rear stock spacer.
