Just could be the ultimate 1911-380. Out of the box, it is ready for accurate, functional shooting and easy carry. But it goes a step beyond with its great looks derived from its composite frame with machined aluminum subframe, blackened stainless steel finish with silver polished flats. Then add to that checkered rosewood grips with gold Buckmark logos. The steel three-dot combat sights, dovetailed into the slide, are a fine finishing touch. The concept. The Browning 1911-380 combines two of John M. Browning’s most lasting innovations – the Model 1911 and the 380 ACP cartridge – into a modern, lightweight pistol. Unlike most of the modern “pocket pistols” that chamber the snappy 380 ACP cartridge, the 1911-380 is slightly larger to better manage recoil for improved control that makes follow-up shots faster and more accurate. The grip is compact, yet is long and wide enough to allow the shooting hand full purchase for added shooting comfort. Restricted in California, Massachusetts and Maryland.

2 years agoSuper handy 1911 for the price! Loved it for my concealed carry;-) I’d like to have another one w/ the black color;-)

2 years agoWith the right ammo it's a lot of fun. But the magazine spring extends out the side of the magazine and must be depressed with a finger to get the first round to load. Not immediately obvious and fought it for too long before figuring it out. I have a bunch of Wolf steel cased ammo that does not cycle well.

2 years agoI bought this handgun about three months ago. It is my concealed weapon and I enjoy caring it and shooting it for practice. It has mild recoil which is great for my new thumb joint but I still feel accurate when I shoot.

2 years agoIn the month that I have owned my Browning it has become my favorite of my collection. Well made and perfect for my hand. I previously shot a full size 1911 and found it too large and heavy. This firearm is just right for me.

2 years agoPerfect for those with smaller hands/wrists. Other than size has the exact dimensions as a full sized 1911. Very aesthetically pleasing with the rosewood grips and gold lapel. The slide has a nice finish of which has a light gun metal color. A real treat to shoot and it's very accurate. I roll with G2 RIP ammo for maximum power. You don't need a 9mm when their is ammo that will maximize the .380's power. I highly recommend this gem.

1 year agoI bought this 380 because my daughter thought it was beautiful and I figured it would be a good gun for her to learn to shoot with. But it's so much fun it will be a regular to take to the range.

1 year agoLove the feel of the gun, seems very balanced. Very well built, besides the fact of the use of plastic. However, the plastic makes the gun light, and easier to carry. I have no idea how the gun fires since Cabela's or no-one has ammunition in stock.

1 year agoOut of my 3 firearms this Browning is my favorite and definitely my go-to! The accuracy is spot on, it fits my hand like a glove, and it is beautiful. I really didn't even know what I was buying and purchased it solely because it felt so perfect in my hand. I now realize after all of the compliments that I get, it is a highly sought after firearm. My 15 year old daughter is comfortable shooting it as well and she is a beginner.

1 year agoJust went out back for my first firing. Went through 100 rounds of Federal American Eagle range ammo and 20 rounds of Hornady American Gunner. Performed flawlessly. As expected from Browning. Perfect size for me.

1 year agoBought it yesterday, shot it yesterday. Shot 3" groups right out of the box. Breakdown and cleaning took all of 5 minutes. Slide is smooth, trigger is good, shooting is an absolute joy. I shot 3 different ammo types and it handled them all the same. The cheap stuff wasn't quite as accurate but good enough for plinking. With good ammo, this thing is a nail driver.

1 year agoI bought the Browning 1911 .380 Pro some time ago and have rung it through its ropes. It replaced my 1947 Mauser HSC which got retired to a display cabinet due to a lack of available parts. ABOUT ME I am an ex-athlete who is a light weight overall for my age and height. That means my hand size is smaller than most. I am ambidextrous, but favor rightie for pistol shooting. I am a southpaw with rifles. I am also ex-military experienced in 1911's. FIRST THOUGHTS I liked two things about this pistol. First, it is a 1911 format that in my military days I take a shine to. The second thing I liked about the pistol is the longer than typical barrel for a .380. In my hand it felt VERY comfortable and shooting it from the start was enjoyable. One thing I noticed right off the bat was that I found two things from the factory I wasn't fond of but could easily be changed. First is that it shot hard to the left. I alleviated that with my 1911 sight adjusting tool. No big deal. The second was that my trigger had a stick on every magazine. I always had a stray when it did. That was alleviated with some trigger work. The trigger pull I felt was perfect except for that sticky thing it had going on. It isn't a competition level pistol, but I did want trigger consistency. OVERALL It has proven to be a great shooting pistol and accurate as I want it for a home potection pistol. It has shot most rounds with no issues except Winchestor FMJ blunt nosed rounds. Once in a blue moon, they hang up, but they are only target practice rounds. My Hornady Critical Defense rounds are no problem for it. My HSC on the other hand didn't like ANY kind of hollow points! In the end, this pistol checks a LOT of boxes for what I wanted! It is expensive, but well worth the expense in the end run. Browning makes a quality product!

1 year agoAwesome firearm. Tight group right out of the box. Looks and shoots incredible. Trigger pull is light. Small enough for concealed carry.

1 year agoI’m a fan for the full size 1911 45ACP, however this 380 with it’s plastic frame just doesn’t appeal to me after shooting it. Also, the grip is very small, requiring a person to really work on the hold, in order to disable the grip safety while shooting. Because I purchased it online, had I held this gun at the store, I would of likely walked away from it without purchasing it.

1 year agoI bought this pistol from my local cabelas. The pistol looks beautiful and it worked great for the first 200 rounds, very little malfunctions, which could be attributed to the ammunition and not the firearm itself. Then after those first two hundred rounds the firearm started malfunctioning and jamming in a pretty odd way. I clean and inspect the firearm after every range day. It turns out the stop lever walks out of the pistol when is being fired, causing the firearm to jam. Brownings customer service is pretty bad compared to other companies I've dealt with. Overall, for the price this gun costs I would expect the firearm to work a lot better and if any issues are encountered for the process of getting it resolved to be a lot easier.

1 year agoThis is the 1st browning weapon I've owned and I'm a little embarrassed to say I have not fired this pistol yet but I love the balance and the way it feels in my hand. I'm a 1911 model fan and this one feels very comfortable to me, I'm sure I'll love it. I'll follow up if I can
