The barrel has a lightweight profile, ventilated rib, fiber-optic front site, and three Invector-DS choke tubes. Its stock features an Inflex recoil pad, textured gripping surface, and a pistol grip. The A5 also has a Vector Pro forcing cone. This Hunter model has a 28″ barrel with a 3″ chamber, a polished black receiver, and a walnut stock with a gloss finish.

I have an A-5 handed down from my grandpa, ya know the old one that only shoots 2 3/4'', yeah that one. i havnt shot it much but from what i have shot it. it is amazing shoots high but that might just be from the age and sight (or maybe me) First time i shot it i had 4 roosters come out of a tree line and i missed every single one. lets just say i wasnt a very happy camper and i expressed my frustration in a very explicit way. Other than that bad experience with it i love it and will be using it for dove hunting this coming fall! I will be purchasing the new A5 3 1/2'' for my 18th birthday when i can finally buy my own gun!

This is a really pretty gun and would look very nice on your wall. That is the best place for it seeing that I've now had my second butt stock crack while shooting it. Browning claims this gun is good for 100000 rounds, well I haven't been able to put 100 through it without the butt stock cracking twice. I can see it happening once, but twice is too much. Not to mention that the first time it happened it took Browning 4 months to replace the butt stock. Very unsatisfied.

This review is on the "New" Browning A5 Hunter. Several of the reviews here are on the "Old A5 Humpback". I bought the 3" version of this gun from Bass Pro. I was told that the 3" gun would function better when using lighter 3 dram, 1 & 1/8 oz. loads then the 3.5" version. First, the fit & finish is very good; it's a Browning. Second, It functions flawlessly. After 500+ rounds of shooting clay targets & doves this last season, it "Did Not Fail" in any way. It is light, points very well & patterns dead on at point of aim. The only draw back is it's recoil. I have shot a 12 gauge over & under for the last 40+ years. If you have any concern about recoil, buy a gas operated Semi-Auto shotgun. The recoil is not over the top but it does recoil.

I purchased this gun a few months ago. I was looking at a Beretta A 400 but bought this gun as it is a very well balanced gun. I did read the reviews espacially the one about it's stalk cracking up but decided to overlook. Big mistake. My own stalk cracked today with less than 200 shots thru the barrel and I am not using heavy shots. It is one of the best handling and balanced gun I ever had. Never had any jamming problem even with the lightest load but the poor quality of the wood lets it down. One more thing, the gun does kick but it is managable

Was looking for an inertia gun and came across this. Nice finish, and feel. Less recoil than I anticipated. Has been a lot of fun for clays and hasn't failed me yet.
