Accuracy and performance. Browning’s AB3 Composite Stalker gives you legendary A-Bolt accuracy and performance in a value-packed platform. The AB3 Stalker combines a matte blued finish barreled action with a rugged matte black synthetic/composite stock to create a high-performance hunting rifle that won’t blow a hole your budget and can take hard use of serious hunting conditions in stride. Precision barrel. The button-rifled barrel is triple-checked for straightness and interior finish and then air-gauged to ensure a consistent diameter throughout the bore’s length. The AB3 Composite Stalker barrel is individually finished with a hand-reamed chamber for tighter tolerances and more precise head space. Durable. A durable matte blued steel finish on all external surfaces minimizes reflection and provides resistance to corrosion. The rugged synthetic stock with molded-in matte black color and textured gripping surfaces can stand up to virtually anything you (or Mother Nature) can dish out.

2 years agoI've bought this rifle a year ago. Love everything about it. Best bang for the buck. Just wish they made this model in a 338 win mag also would have one too

2 years agoI bought this in wood finish from another store, outfitted it with a 3-9 by 50 redfield, and this setup it outstanding. Mine is in .270, the gun shoots great feels great when shooting and carrying. I recommend this gun to everyone, It is a great firearm that should retail for far more. I do recommend the wood finish over the composite thougg, worth it.

2 years agoPurchased Browning AB3 at Cabela's in Hamburg PA when they first came out. Looked at this rifle in .30-06 Springfield. Figured it would be a quality product since it had the Browning name, it felt well balanced and had a smooth action with a decent stock and crisp trigger for price point so I made the purchase. Mounted a new scope on this rifle and boresighted at home like always. Took my brand new rifle to the range to get it sighted in but failed to do so. The rifle would not fire, was getting light primer strikes each and every time, all 15 rounds. Had to send the rifle back to Browning for repair. Rifle was returned saying "minor repairs made" but wasn't specific. The jury is still out on this rifle for me, didn't get a chance to attempt to fire the rifle since Browning returned it to me. Hopefully it works out but my initial impression was not good.

2 years agoWhen buying a hunting rifle, do yourself a favor and look at the A bolt3. This rifle exceeds all expectations, smooth action, great feeling stock, and best of all it's a tack driver. I purchased a 308 cal. and it shoots anything well truly a great buy.

2 years agoI bought this fairly new model in .300 Win caliber as an 'extra' rifle for bear hunting. It seemed like a solid alternative to comparable Remington's and since Browning seems to do all things well (for firearms), I decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised with its performance; the weight and feel, as well as the bolt-action were what I expected but the trigger response was much better than anything I've experienced in rifles of this price-range. Build quality and fit/finish are what you would expect in a Browning product; very good, even though this is their low-end model. This is a consistent performer that gives a good return on its relatively low investment.

1 year agoSimply AWESOME! If you want a great quality hunting rifle and not looking to spend over a 1000$ you won't find anything better. Far better than all other rifles in comparable price range, Period.

1 year agoGood solid gun. I am using as a back up but will not be disappointed if I use it. 9. Shots and she is dead on. 1.5-2 inch groups at 100 yds. I put a Leupold 3-9/40 VX 1 Ready for my trip now

1 year agoWas looking for a quality rifle at a decent price which is not easy to find. I have a browning BAR safari so was excited to see Browning with a value priced rifle. The AB3 is the same mechanism as the A-bolt but with composite stock. Perfect compromise for a quality firearm and a modern weather friendly exterior. I bought it for my son for deer season. Got it in 30-06 and Paired it with a leuopold vx1. Sighted it in quickly and it shoots flawlessly. Top mounted safety and detachable box clip. My son had no problem taking down a deer opening day. It's priced as good or better than lower end Remington and others but in my opinion better quality. You can't go wrong with a Browning and it's nice to see them offer a superior rifle at a low price point. The staff at the cabelas Hammond IN store was very helpful too.

1 year agoI bought this rifle in 30.06 and mounted a leupold 3-9x40 vx1 . Pretty good finish for the price, very accurate (1 inch grouping) at 100 yards. But you can have a x-bolt hunter for a couple of hundreds more.Better bolt, better barrel that would take longer to heat at the range.

1 year agoI switched from a Remington 700 SPS Varmiter in .308 to a AB3 in 6.5 Creedmoor and I've never looked back. The gun is light, trigger is crisp, recoil pad is descent, and the action is smooth. This is what I consider a perfect all around hunting rifle for North and South Carolina.

1 year agoHave that rifle for 3 years and its keep impressing me. Got Talley one piece mounts and bushnell 4-14 scope. Accuracy is unbelievable, i got sako a7 in .270 and tikka t3x in .223 with their accuracy guarantee and browning just as accurate. Only thing i dont like is magazine, plastic with steel lips, looks very cheaply made, but it works. Stock also doesnt seen to be hollow on inside and doesnt make much noise. If that rifle came in .223 i would have 2 browning rifles by now.

1 year agoPurchased this as my first hunting rifle. Went with the 6.5 Creedmoor in hopes that it will be an easier transition for my kids. Took a bit to properly sight in, but once I did, extremely accurate. Took my first deer with it the following day from 125 yards.

1 year agoHas that Browning look which I love. The rifle is very accurate. The magazine is much stronger than others in this price range. The barrel is perfectly free floated. Great trigger. No complaints.

1 year agoShoots good, 60-degree bolt is very nice, recoil pad is one of the best I've seen. I have almost every entry level rifle from other manufactures, IMHO this is one of the best ones. Will be getting a couple more in other calibers.

1 year agoBought two for my grandsons and they both took their first deer with them. Am very happy with how well they shot and seem to be of high quality for a budget rifle.
