The BL-22 is the premier lever action 22 of all time. It gained this distinction for several reasons. Superb quality, solid function and the speed of 33 degree lever throw. The scroll engraved receiver, checkered walnut stock and the added touch of a classic Browning gold-colored trigger also set it apart. There are other lever-action 22 rimfire rifles available, but no other has the features, reliability, quality and accuracy of the BL-22. Speaking of fast and features, the highlight of the Grade I BL-22 is the short 33 degree lever throw that makes cycling faster for adults and easier for younger shooters. The easy to load tubular magazine holds any combination of 22 short, long and long rifle ammunition, all of which are on the menu for the BL-22. The magazine tube once loaded locks securely in place. The BL-22 features quality muzzle to butt that rivals other Browning firearms. From the machined steel receiver to the fit of the finely finished wood, these superb rifles are Browning’s through and through. Bring one along the next time you head into the field on a varmint hunt or just to roll a few tin cans.

1 year agoGrabagun delivery was quick, with good communication. This gun is a blast to shoot. Eats shorts, longs and LRs. Lever action is smooth and quick. I found the iron sights accurate off hand up to 50 yards with subsonic 22LRs, but even with shorts can repeatedly hit the bullseye at 25 yards. Front sight is black so can be hard to pick up, but this is a minor issue, esp with Skinner replacement options. Overall fit and finish of the rifle, manufactured by Miroku in Japan for Browning, is excellent. Immediately has become one of the favorites in the collection.

1 year agoOne sweet lever action. Workmanship is top notch, with beautiful walnut stock. Very short throw on the lever, which took some getting used to. Extremely fun to shoot.

1 year agoI received mine for my tenth Christmas in 1973, and it has been a life long treasure. I have put more rounds through this rifle than any other firearm and it has always performed. One day I will pass it on to my grandson with the hope and expectation that he will treasure it as much as I.
