BPR provides reliability and performance in 22 long rifle ammunition that you can expect from the best there is in rimfire ammunition.

1 year agoI like the 36 Grain copper coated hollow points more... these are lead with some kind of coating. The copper coating goes through semi auto pistols better, with less jams still a good ammo. When dealing with 22 in semi auto you do expect a jam once in a while mostly due to the way you load the magazine. would buy more if i could find it. No problems in my rifles.

1 year agoBest bulk ammo I ever bought. Not one misfire, loading or other problem. Accuracy was excellent. Less dirty than other ammo.

1 year agoI discovered this ammo recently. Never knew Browning made 22lr. Bought 2 boxes of 40 grain 2 days ago. 1 almost empty lol. My Taurus TX22 loves them so I love them.

1 year agohavent got a chance to shoot it yet but i think great price for a 50pc ammo box. hopefully it performs good in my firearm. maybe ill add to this once i shoot the ammo.

1 year agoFantastic ammo, I have had zero issues running this ammo through a CZ .22lr conversion kit on a CZ75, an old bolt action, and lever actions. The accuracy is what youd expect from bulk ammo; and there were a few misformed casings. Other than that i would say this is on par to federal bulk ammo.

1 year agoI bought a box of 400 rounds. It was the only .22LR in the store. I shot 100 rounds and every other bullet misfired, I hade stove pipes, failure to ejects, the shells collapsed, some bullets weren’t bent in the shell. Awful!!

1 year agoThe price was reasonable but it turned out to be not such a deal. I've been shooting it in my Tippman and was frustrated that 2-5% of the rounds fail to feed. The long nosed bullet hangs up as it's going into the chamber. Tried it with my new Savage B22 and kicked myself for not bringing any other ammo to the range. After going through a magazine where every round failed to extract from the chamber, I bought a fresh box of ammo and the extraction issues disappeared. Guess I'll be running the Browning junk through the Tippman 'til it's gone. What utter and complete garbage!

1 year agoMost of the rounds fired ok. but there were a bunch of defective rounds. Of course there are no returns on ammunition at Cabela's. I had casings with no bullet in them (at least 1/2 dozen) and what I consider a very high amount of improperly inserted bullets that were not straight. Some were visibly crooked, others got missed and jammed while feeding. out of 1000 rounds probably close to 8% were defective

1 year agoUsed this stuff a while back in my Savage MKII G (Non-accutrigger), and had problems with stuck casings in the barrel. Had to physically use barrel rods to push these casings back out of the breech. Noticed that the casings had some sort of black, sticky buildup on the end. This happened, time and time again, after shooting a small handful of rounds from a cleaned barrel. I have fired THOUSANDS of different rounds through my trusty Savage and have experienced this issue with only one other round. The Winchester M22. I have not fired any of these bullets in more than a few years now and don't intend to again, ever if we are in this crisis today.

1 year agoWorst ammo i ever bought. Many misfires! One fired bullet lodged into the bore. Had to knock the lead out of the bore with a cleaning rod! Ammo would fit in my auto but not in my Ruger revolver.

1 year agoIf you actually want to shoot something, don’t buy these, they miss fire 8/10 times. I would give it a zero star rating if I could

1 year agoNot a single failed primer strike so far. Also very accurate; it stays in target up to the 75 yards that we have fired it at so far. Going to by another two boxes today.

1 year agoEvery second one is bad. Not happy at all. If Cabela’s keep selling bad ammo, I will stop buying from them.
Still Looking
1 year agoI am looking for ammo that will give me consistent results out of my target pistol. The "target" ammo I am using has proven to be more erratic than I am - and I'm bad! Anyhow, I picked up a 400-round box of "Browning BPR Performance Rimfire Ammo - LRN Blackened" and a couple of other brands to test in the pistol. One would not cycle the semi-auto, and one was OK but nothing to write home about. But the Browning was great! I saw an improvement right away, in both slow fire and rapid fire. I think I fired about 25-30 rounds, and I am not sure if I had any that failed to fire. Tried it in a match tonight, and had an FTF in slow-fire. No big deal, but a bit concerning. Shot my second best slow fire target this year. Timed fire went great, shot my best timed fire target this year. But then I had a second FTF in rapid fire - and it cost me points! Both had good, solid strikes from the firing pin. The fact that I still got my highest score so far is a testament to the consistent accuracy of this ammo. But 2 FTF's in a 30-round match leaves me unable to trust Browning BPR when it counts. This will be great for plinking and practice, though, so I'll give it a 3 out of 5.

1 year agoIf you can get it on sale it’s not a bad purchase, but for every 20 rounds you’ll find a dud or a malfunction. It’s also very dirty ammo considering it’s rimfire already.

1 year agoProbably the worst crap I’ve ever had the misfortune to buy! Had at least four duds in the first 40 rounds, multiple failures to feed or eject. If someone tries to give you some, run away!

1 year agoJams constantly in my 10/22. Took the gun apart and cleaned and tried again still garbage. Henry Frontier hated it too. Wouldn’t recommend.

1 year agoI bought this bulk pack of 36gr HP for my Ruger 10/22. They will not cycle in the gun, they all jam up when hand feeding, slow or fast/hard they all jam up. Looking at them they seem to slightly longer then most 22lr and fatter at the tip. I've ended up using some on a bolt action rifle to see the accuracy and they are disappointing. Multiple 10 shot groops and 4/10 are strays. The shots that are consistent do an average grouping of over 1 inch at 50yrd. When you add in the stray shots its roughly 3 inch groups. I've very disappointed with Browning on this ammunition.

1 year agoEasily the poorest performing 22lr I've had in over 30 years. Nothing likes it but bolt guns and then it's about 1 in 5 or 6 that fire. I'll never purchase again regardless of price.

1 year agoVery accurate and clean, with that said I am also getting a few rounds that miss fire when ever I go to the range. I usually go through about 100 rounds a session in a Ruger Mark 4. It is not the gun as it has a new firing pin and spring in it. I will put up with the miss fires for how clean the ammo has been running.
