Worst ammo i ever bought. Many misfires! One fired bullet lodged into the bore. Had to knock the lead out of the bore with a cleaning rod! Ammo would fit in my auto but not in my Ruger revolver.

If you actually want to shoot something, don’t buy these, they miss fire 8/10 times. I would give it a zero star rating if I could

Not a single failed primer strike so far. Also very accurate; it stays in target up to the 75 yards that we have fired it at so far. Going to by another two boxes today.

Every second one is bad. Not happy at all. If Cabela’s keep selling bad ammo, I will stop buying from them.

Still Looking

I am looking for ammo that will give me consistent results out of my target pistol. The "target" ammo I am using has proven to be more erratic than I am - and I'm bad! Anyhow, I picked up a 400-round box of "Browning BPR Performance Rimfire Ammo - LRN Blackened" and a couple of other brands to test in the pistol. One would not cycle the semi-auto, and one was OK but nothing to write home about. But the Browning was great! I saw an improvement right away, in both slow fire and rapid fire. I think I fired about 25-30 rounds, and I am not sure if I had any that failed to fire. Tried it in a match tonight, and had an FTF in slow-fire. No big deal, but a bit concerning. Shot my second best slow fire target this year. Timed fire went great, shot my best timed fire target this year. But then I had a second FTF in rapid fire - and it cost me points! Both had good, solid strikes from the firing pin. The fact that I still got my highest score so far is a testament to the consistent accuracy of this ammo. But 2 FTF's in a 30-round match leaves me unable to trust Browning BPR when it counts. This will be great for plinking and practice, though, so I'll give it a 3 out of 5.

If you can get it on sale it’s not a bad purchase, but for every 20 rounds you’ll find a dud or a malfunction. It’s also very dirty ammo considering it’s rimfire already.

Probably the worst crap I’ve ever had the misfortune to buy! Had at least four duds in the first 40 rounds, multiple failures to feed or eject. If someone tries to give you some, run away!

Jams constantly in my 10/22. Took the gun apart and cleaned and tried again still garbage. Henry Frontier hated it too. Wouldn’t recommend.

I bought this bulk pack of 36gr HP for my Ruger 10/22. They will not cycle in the gun, they all jam up when hand feeding, slow or fast/hard they all jam up. Looking at them they seem to slightly longer then most 22lr and fatter at the tip. I've ended up using some on a bolt action rifle to see the accuracy and they are disappointing. Multiple 10 shot groops and 4/10 are strays. The shots that are consistent do an average grouping of over 1 inch at 50yrd. When you add in the stray shots its roughly 3 inch groups. I've very disappointed with Browning on this ammunition.

Easily the poorest performing 22lr I've had in over 30 years. Nothing likes it but bolt guns and then it's about 1 in 5 or 6 that fire. I'll never purchase again regardless of price.

Picked up a couple bricks because of the current rebate. Shot some today, feeding was rough at times, report was very inconsistent (like the old Remington ThunderCraps), had a half dozen or so duds (some of which fired when retried, some didn't, and extraction on ones that didn't was difficult at times). Overall, bottom of the barrel, wouldn't bother with again, I'll stick with Federal Automatch for my bulk pack needs (which come in at about the same price before the rebate). Accuracy also was n... I guess for plinking only it's fair and a cheap price, But not worth it otherwise,,, in my Remington 512 and Henry lever I had 12 fail to fire out of the first 300 rds. and numerous times it does feed properly. I always test my Oehler 35P chronograph set up with a 22lr before firing my hand loads. Here are the results of 21 rds. tried 25 3 fail to feed 2 fail to fire,, Velocities high 1276, low 1142, avg. 1207 ES 134, SD 40

Definitely range and practice ammo. Have been shooting a lot of 22 lately and got it at a good price. When I took it to the range and started shooting it thru my Ruger Mk II I suddenly had an average of 1 to 2 failure to fire every two magazines. Up until then I had no issues with the various ammo I had been using (Remington, Winchester, CCI) and after I changed ammo back the gun was again totally reliable. All misfired round did fire when recycled.

I've been puzzled by some of the negative reviews of the Browning ammo. I've been very pleased with it in at least a half-dozen hand guns. It's just a little dirtier than MiniMags; but for the price, it's hard to beat. For me, it's a toss-up between Fed AutoMatch and the Browning BPR bulk as my everyday go to ammo. I'm not such a fantastic shot that I can tell a difference in accuracy and it runs great in my Victory, 22/45, sixty year old H&R revolver and SIG P229-22. As soon as I get the 'back ... Read more

Browning makes some great firearms, love my 20 gauge and my Buckmark 22 pistol; but their 22LR ammo, let's just say, it might be worth it, if it was about 3 a round. Some rounds wouldn't even load into the cylinder of revolver; many of them do not want to eject. Never had this issue with any Remington, CCI or Federal 22LR ammo. Bottom line; inconsistent case sizing . . awfully strange, and it is dirty too.

I echo the other review and add that out of a box of 400 I have already had 5 duds and am about half way through the box. Hate to even load in my gun due the inconsistant size, quality and lack of primer. This makes it difficult to extract when they do not discharge and some level of danger.

I’ve always had good luck with browning anything but I Musta got a bad batch they seem to be low on power not ejecting.

nice price now I know why I have found over 50 loose in the box when it got here, also so far I have found two dozen with loose lead that spin on casing.

Using them in a keltec 22 long rifle pistol has a 33 round clip. They seem to do fairly well only if you hang up.

with the other reviews. I've had no problems whatsoever with the BPR ammo. I've used it in my revolvers, pistols and rifles. I hunt small game using their 40 gr. HP. .22 LR and Mag. Sorry to hear others had problems.
