1 year agoWhat more can I say. This is the perfect, affordable skeet gun! I was shooting a Citori Skeet Gun with 28" barrels I bought back in 1980. After about a 40 year hiatus from skeet shooting I started again this year with my old Citori, and did well BUT I needed to "upgrade" to a new gun with longer barrels. I searched all over and finally decided to take a chance and purchase this new Browning CXS. It was a GREAT MOVE!! This gun points naturally and the low rib (my old one was a high post rib) just seems to give me a much better sight picture of the clay target. The recoil pad is very good at reducing felt recoil. I did have to have the inertial triggers worked on by a gunsmith to change them to mechanical triggers since I shoot 20, 28, and 410 tubes out of this gun at skeet tournaments and the inertial triggers won't reset when shooting the 410; this is NOT a fault of the gun and I knew I would have to have this work done. Needless to say, I am extremely pleased with the way this gun breaks those little skeets in a consistent and "smoking" manner! Higher priced shotguns are just that...higher priced shotguns. The Browning CXS is priced right and is a well-made product that is enjoyable to shoot....and it makes me "look good" when shooting it!! I heartily endorse this product for beginners or veteran shooters because whomever shoots it will enjoy the experience!

1 year agoAfter reviewing most over under shotguns in this price range I narrowed it down to this one and the Beretta 686 Silver Pigeon 1. After handling the guns I chose the Browning CXS and couldn't be more pleased. It's been 30 years since I last shot skeet and the first time out with this gun I managed a 23/25. I was a little worried about the listed weight but it feels a lot lighter and swings beautifully. The rib is easy to view and does not obstruct the target. I'm very please with this gun and can't wait to shoot it every week.

1 year agoBought this to replace cheap O/U that I got at cables to try trap again after a very long break. The quality of this Citori cxs is out standing. Like one of the reviews I was worried about the listed weight but after three outings shooting clays can't be any happier with it. Shoulders very nice and swings great. First round with it was my best since restarting trap shooting and better every round since. Plan on using it for bird hunting also.

1 year agoif you have the skill this gun has what you need on a budget. I routinely outshoot the old birds with tubed and built to suit Perazzi's Krieghoffs and high end Berettas. I needed to add a little height to the comb and it was game on. Take it to the patterning board first thing. This gun runs with any high dollar rig at 5 stand, skeet and sporting clays. I do not know if it will run as long as a Beretta 682 or a 15k Kolar, but for two grand who cares. Honestly, if it fits you, for the price, there is nothing better. I work full time so I do not have 7 days a week to run 100k shells per year through my gun anyhow, so I cannot possibly wear it out. Folks, this is a working persons comp gun. Buy it, make sure it fits, practice, and go beat the Krieghoff guys at your next shoot.

1 year agoHave used a Browning Citori for trap before, so trusted Browning when I needed a clays gun. I have been VERY pleased with the CXS choice. It fits me perfectly, beads and rib come up perfectly to my eye. Keep grease on the hinge area as you break it in, as the hinge will probably be stiff and tight (as it should be). The 30" barrels give me a great weight and balance. Choke tubes easy to find. Probably the best value clays gun going!

1 year agoI bought this Browning Citori CXS O/U as an Upgrade to my CZ Redhead, needed something with a little longer barrels for Trap Shooting and an early Birthday/Christmas present to myself. I cannot wait to get out there an shoot it at the Pine Belt Range in Shamong, NJ.

1 year agoI bought this for % Stand, Sporting, skeet. I wish I would have ponied up for the adjustable stock (I am on the small side, I sent the gun to Graco for an adjustable comb later, no fault of Browning). The gun shoots great, it looks good, it is a wonderful bargain for the tool that I have and enjoy. Way to go Browning. I cannot afford a new Perazzi of a Krieghoff, but I shoot shoulder to shoulder with folks that can, and we shoot the same scores. I am not a pro shooter, I will never be able to wear this gun out. Best $2K I ever spent.

1 year agoI own another shotgun, and when I bought this I wasn't sure how it would compare. Honestly, the Browning Citori is so much easier to shoot, it's like night and day compared to my other gun. I would not hesitate to buy another Browning shotgun.

1 year agoAfter doing a ton of research I settled on the Browning Citori CXS (12ga) due to quality for the cost. Sure, it's not the cheapest shotgun you could buy, but it's at the top quality for it's price tag. The next step up is about another $1,000. After shooting a few hundred shells I can say that the recoil is minimal and it is a joy to shoot!

1 year agoI have several of what I consider entry level o/u 20 g shotguns and wanted something of a better quality. Had absolutely no luck finding what I wanted at local stores and was thrilled to be able to find this Citori CXS over under in 20 g with a 28" barrel at grabagun.com. The shotgun is a quality product. The wood is beautiful, the fit and finish is what you'd expect from a Browning shotgun. It functions flawlessly and is a pleasure to shoot. It's sole purpose is for shooting trap. I … Read More

1 year agoI am an amateur skeet and trap shooter who wanted a nice gun to go forward with, and decided on the Browning Citori CXS. Mine had the 30” barrel with IC Over & Mod Under. The 1st time out I decided to do one of the most aggressive skeet courses at the club. And she didn’t disappoint hitting the first clay thrown and breaking 20 out of 40 first...Read More Read more about review stating Very Good Shooter

1 year agoI’ve been shooting sporting clays casually for the last few years and decided I wanted a dedicated shotgun for it. My dad had Citori’s for years as a competitive skeet shooter and I’m happy I chose this one. A little heavy but a beautiful, easy swinging shotgun. Dealing with Guns.com was easy and I’ll do it again.

1 year agoThe only complaint I have is that the Browning factory box was previously opened and apparently never resealed. Brown shipping tape was used at some point, not typical clear tape from factory. I like getting guns in factory sealed boxes. Also inner carton styrofoam packing material was split at the muzzle end. One of the extended choke tubes sligh...Read More Read more about review stating The only complaint I have
