If you thought that you might have missed your chance to add a new Browning Citori Lightning to your collection, now is the time to rejoice. These three new models share the reputation for durability earned by their forebearers, and feature new receiver engraving artwork and stock checkering that provide updated style to this timeless design. The term “left in the white”, or simply “white” has been used for decades describing the color of shotgun and rifle parts. “In the white” means that firearm parts were not blued or color case-hardened or colored in any way, but left in the natural, polished color of the metal, such as steel. Often times, the bolt, top lever, slide, ejectors and other parts are left in the natural color of the metal, providing a luxurious contrast to the rest of the shotgun. In this way, the Browning’s Citori White Lightning receiver and action offer a fine choice as opposed to “blued” over unders. But don’t be afraid that the steel receiver is unprotected: the natural color steel receiver and trigger guard are protected from corrosion by a durable coating process called a “nitrided” finish, offering similar protection to bluing. Just with a uniquely elegant and attractive look. The Citori White Lightning’s round knob or pistol grip allows the shooter to position his hand at the same, solid place for each shot, thus offering better control for fast-flying waterfowl and upland game, sporting clays or trap and skeet. Matching the rounded pistol grip is the forearm. 1 year agoI bought this gun in 28 bore a few months ago, I was attracted by the scroll engraving on the receiver and the quality of the wood. Wood to metal fit is excellent. I shot some five stand with it this week and did well. The gun points well and trigger pull is very good. The gun shoots a little flatter than the advertised 60/40. The gun is furnished with 3 choke tubes full, mod.,and ic I wish another ic or a skeet tube had been furnished. A skeet tube would be perfect for sporting clays. All in all it is a great little gun! .

1 year agoExcellent fit and finish, the Browning sticker on the under barrel was a little annoying. I cleaned it up and lubricated it, put the improved cylinder and modified chokes in and went to the range. I ended up breaking 40 out of 50 clays, overall I love it.

1 year agoI purchased my White Lightning and took it out opening dove weekend in Texas. Beautiful gun! The fit and finish was exactly what I expected with Browning. My son actually shot it opening weekend and he did really well. Gun shot flawlessly. I hope I can pry it from son”s hands and take a few shots. My only negative thing I could say would be with the provided choke tubes. More choke tubes should be included with a firearm in this price range. This shotgun came with Full, Improved Cylinder and Modified choke tubes. Also a nice hard case should be included instead of the standard cardboard box. All in all a wonderful shotgun and would recommend it to everyone. The purchase at Cabelas was as usual a great experience. The process was quick and the gun sales crew was top notch. I purchased the firearm online and that was very easy. I waited to get that “Your firearm is ready for pickup” email. I waited and was patient. I contacted Cabelas and was advised my firearm was ready and that it was received two days after purchase. Thanks Cabelas and Browning!

1 year agoVery nice combination of wood and engraving, and dark extended chokes. The first one I ordered had some pitting on the bottom of the barrels, though. A bit pricey.

1 year agoNot the easiest to reassemble. The forearm takes many tries to get it to snap in place. Maybe once it is worn in it will assemble without as much difficulty.

1 year agoI have been looking for this exact model for a while, couldn’t find it anywhere, guns.com had it for a little cheaper than prices I was seeing, although I have seen some poor reviews of guns.com the shipping was very fast and everything checked out perfect
