The XBolt builds on past Browning rifles and adds numerous improvements that place the XBolt at the top. The XBolts new threelever Feather Trigger provides a clean crisp pull with no takeup or creep and minimal overtravel. The XBolt is freefloated by bedding the front and rear of the action for stability and to help maintain barrel to stock spacing for consistent accuracy. A recessed muzzle crown helps protect the rifling from damage. The Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad has proprietary construction and material to promote a directional deflection of recoil forces pulling the stock comb away from your face to reduce felt recoil and muzzle climb. The bolt unlock button works in conjunction with the toptang safety to provide an added measure of safety during checking and unloading of the chamber. This Pro model features a carbon fiber stock cerakote carbon gray elite metal finish skip fluted sporter barrel and Recoil Hawg muzzle brake with thread protector.

1 year agoTo start off with the rifle is a beautiful specimen. The skip trace barrel fluting is just perfect and the cerakoting is solid. Working the bolt is like butter, I could probably cycle a round with my pinky if I really needed to. Same crisp Browning trigger as always. The weapon is featherlight and points just fine. I cannot say anything for accuracy yet as I have yet to find the scope I have in mind for it in stock. I can tell you that I ran four rifles through my chronograph for muzzle velocity and none of them were as consistent as the 6.8. I fired the Winchester 165 gr rounds and got a median FPS of 2858 and all three shots were within 12 FPS with factory ammo. My .300, 7mm Rem Mag, and 7MM STW were up to 90 FPS off each round fired on average. The recoil was super managable (although I am a larger guy) and the rifle was not nearly as snappy as I thought it would be. Very smooth shooting weapon. I will update once I get my scope boresighted and dialed in but I have very high hopes for this latest addition to the collection.

1 year agoI've only had it a few days but I like it. The short bolt lift is nice only 40rds though it but it seems accurate. Knock is the price was expensive and was hard to find.

1 year agoThe purchase process was simple, Guns.com was very prompt in processing and shipping, the tracking was amazing. Very satisfied The 1 and only complaint I have is there was no mention of the rifle being manufactured in Japan!!!!!
