The X-Bolt Medallion bolt action rifle is presented with a fine gloss-finished, checkered Walnut stock. The steel receiver is engraved and has a blued finish for beauty and durability. Insuring long-range accuracy is the totally free-floated barrel and Feather Trigger System, two of the most critical components of any high-powered hunting rifle. 1 year agoI love every rifle by browning including the a bolt, X bolt and any BAR in .30-06. Best out of the box accuracy. I have shot both with and without the boss and cant ask for better groups from any rifle manufacturer. The quality is second to none and the smoothness of the bolt in flawless. Have had no problems with any browning product and will continue buying anything stamped witht he buckmark. Good bye to all tikka and remington products.

1 year agoI bought this gun for my son and he loves it, the bolt is super easy to work, the trigger is feather light and the recoil is barely noticeable.

1 year agoI purchased one of these in 30-06 about a year ago. It has a lot of great features that should place it in a higher price category. To name a few: the smooth and easy action, the trigger pull (feels great), and the pad on the butt of the rifle (absorbs and keeps rifle on target pretty well). I bought the rifle not only for these features, but for how natural it felt in my hands. It is weighted very nicely and feels lighter than other brands. I have probably hiked around 100 miles with it on hunts over all types of terrain over this last year and my shoulder has not gotten sore from carrying this gun . The Browning I bought happens to have amazing accuracy as well. I have been able to place several factory loads of various weights (130grn - 180grn) under 1 MOA and a few hand loads well under 1/2". The only weight I can't get to group well are 165 grain and 168 grain.

1 year agoI bought the Browning Medallion in 300 Win Mag. I burnished the barrel per manufacturer instructions and it shoots very tight groups. I don't consider myself to be a marksman but this gun gives me a lot of confidence. The recoil is very manageable in 300 Win Mag and the trigger pull is perfect. I just returned from Colorado with my 2nd Bull Elk which dropped at 125 yards. I have had the same results with white tail of which the farthest was a 412 yard shot using a 180 grain all copper bullet.

1 year agoI currently own this rifle in .300 Win Mag and I am amazed at how it performs. The recoil is minimal at best and the grouping I am having is sub MOA. I have shot this rifle at 400 yards max as of yet but I am confident I have not even touched it's capability. The safety mechanism with the bolt is a genius idea on the part of browning, well done! The trigger is something to behold, it is as good if not better than any custom trigger I have felt. The rotary magazine allows a straight feed and I have yet to ever have a failure for it to cycle properly. The stock is absolutely flawless! It is the center of attention when ever I go to shoot with friends at the range. The X-bolt lug pattern for the scope bases increases my confidence in the field that my scope is rock solid and still centered. I can not wait to use this gun this next season!

1 year agoSmooth, lite, accurate and good looking. Equipped this great rifle with a Nikon Prostaff 5 scope and what a combo. Shot my deer at 100 yards first year. Happy for sure.

1 year agoI purchased this rifle in a .270 last year for deer season. It dropped a 150 class bruiser in his tracks. It is an extremely smooth shooting rifle. A+

1 year agoI bought this Medallion in 30-06 several years ago and found that it had a sticky bolt. It could not feed from the magazine without taking the gun down from a shooting position which meant having to regain the sight picture for each shot. When I complained to Browning about it, they sent me their gunsmith rep for my location and they tried to correct the problem with no success. Though the gun is accurate, I would never recommend this gun to any serious hunter.

1 year agoI bought the X Bolt Medallion, White Gold .270 and it’s the sweetest shooting gun I’ve ever fired or hunted with. The recoil is non-existent and the butt pad let’s you shoot this gun over and over with no flinching at all. It’s also just about the sharpest looking production gun I’ve ever seen! If I had to nitpick, my only complaint would be the plastic magazine. It feels cheap but functions smoothly. I just feel for the price point of this rifle, it should have a metal magazine. But again, that’s a minor nitpick. I absolutely love this gun!

1 year agoThis is an extremely well made gun, and it will be eventually passed down to my son. It and a Henry 30-30 are the stars in the gun safe.
