21C (a 220 grain Hard Cast plain based LFN) is the absolute heaviest bullet that can be fired through 10mm pistols. With its flat nose, it will penetrate straight and very deeply into muscle and bone. Straight line penetration into living tissue will exceed three feet.

1 year agoONLY ran a few rounds through my S&W M&P 2.0 10mm to see if this ammo cycled well and, it did. This ammo isn't cheap although Grab-a-gun had the best prices. don't want to skimp if i need it if i'm "introduced" to a bear, mountain lion or other friendly folks. Lots of power.

1 year agoI load my 10mm with 3 hollow points followed by 3 of the buffalo bore outdoorsman in the event the threat is hiding behind a couch, wall, car door., etc...

1 year agoHave not hunted with it yet, but out of my Springfield XDm Elite 4.5 it chronographs at just under 1200 fps. It is very accurate and at 25 yards it keeps a group of about 2 inches. Looking forward to taking a hog with it. Should be good backup for anyone in bear country. BTW, recoil is pretty stout but manageable with a solid grip.
