The new METE series incorporates changes designed to take a great product and elevate it to the next level of semi-automatic sporting pistols. The external changes are subtle but are instantly recognizable when handling the firearm. An integrally flared mag-well allows for fluid reloads and extra support for the grip, new aggressive texturing to include the front of the grip allows for increased stability, the double undercut trigger guard secures the support hand on the firearm, the low profile slide stop lever and angled rear sight edge increase functionality in a multitude of situations, a co-witnessing optics ready slide cut now accepting everything from a Trijicon RMRcc all the way to a micro optic allows for a constant and reliable sight picture, an ergonomically redesigned beavertail for comfortability, and a holster fit-and-lock (HFL) system for retention in the holster. The internal changes begin with easy in/easy out push pins that can be removed using slight pressure and the Canik punch. From there the entire platforms internals are modular in a sense that it can be completely disassembled and then reassembled with ease using only the aforementioned Canik punch.

1 year agoI like the gun a lot. I also pick up a Canik Mete Darkside at a local gun shop. They are both good guns, but I would have liked some carry cuts so I can more effectively remedy a double feed, but I get it that they wanted the removable mag well. FWIW, I bought both of these guns in September when Century was running a special giving away 3 additional mags per gun. Both gun qualified, I sent in the appropriate paperwork & Century welched on the deal & refused to give me the mags.

1 year agoI’m new to handgun shooting and this is my first handgun which I purchased about 6 weeks ago. I shout about a 1200 rounds already and i love the agronomics of this firearm and how it feels in my hand. As far as accuracy, although i’m new to shooting i’m getting great accuracy already. 1 year agoBest stock trigger I’ve ever used. It’s designed for 124 gr so I would suggest putting a few boxes of 124 gr through it to break in the spring a bit before using 115. No malfunctions so far.

1 year agoThe Canik METE is one of the best shooting handgun’s I’ve owned. Very light for a full size with a very quick trigger reset. I have about 500 rounds through mine with zero malfunctions. I went with this model to be able to keep the rear sight when going with optics. Huge plus being able to run optics and be able to cowitness your iron sights.
