So far we love this shotgun, we’ve shot ducks, pheasant, deer and rabbit with it! Planning to get the 12ga version next!

Great low priced shotgun for new shooters. Purchased for clay and trap shooting and has performed flawlessly. Even better then some on the 500$ and up range. Time will tell though how it holds up after a 1000 rounds have been put through. But for shooting occasional trap/skeet, hunting, home defense, it certainly seems a bargain

....after purchase, you completely disassemble it, take a copper brush to all metal edges, lightly lube with a good synthetic gun lube, reassemble, then keep the bolt pulled back for at least a week before using. Do this and you'll have a decent gun for foul weather hunting. Take it from the box to the trap lane and you'll be asking for trouble.

Bought to deer hunt with. Not to bad, very light gun but kick hard with it being so light. only down fall I have is it's advertised as 4+1,3 inch chamber but i can only get 3 +1 with 3'' shells. Not a real big issue to me, I'm happy with it so far.

Picked this beautiful Charles Daly up Sunday from bass pro shops. Right out of the box it came clean and oiled real well which I liked. This shotgun was easy to put together understand. There’s was a point in time where I thought my franchi affinity would be the lightest feeling shotgun I’d ever hold but this Charles Daly only weigh 6 lbs 1 oz, it shoulders real well and feels great. I’ve watched plenty of YouTube videos of people saying this gun jams up cycling and has many problems with ejection of the shells, I had neither of these happen to me. As soon as I got home I grabbed 100+ shells of target loads, heavy steel and some lead all different shots and sizes and it never jammed or failed to cycle once. No matter how fast the trigger was pulled the gun shot which I thought was super impressive. The only other shotgun I had do that was the franch affinity 3.5. My whichester sx4 failed to cycle a few out of the box but still performed well. Overall I would recommend this gun for anyone especially a beginner. Big thumbs up to Charles Daly for making this fun little cheap semi.

Bought this a month ago to use in inclement weather. Used twice...less than one box of shells and the stock is now loose from the receiver. Worse, CD expects me to pay to ship to them for warranty repair AND to pay for it to be returned.

Bought a month ago. Used twice. Less than a full box of shells. AND THE STOCK IS ALREADY COME LOSE FROM THE RECEIVER!

Disassembled, cleaned, and lubed before I shot it. After five rounds of Winchester target loads i stopped and re tightened everything. Then I fed it a variety of different shells. Federal target, Remington game, high brass low brass, hot loads, light loads that my ten year old daughter shoots from a single shot. Not a single issue

This gun was defective out of the box and would not cycle shells from the magazine to the chamber. When I contacted the warranty department i was told that my only option was to ship the gun back to CD at my own expense and they would look at it but could not guarantee they would fix it. Either way i would have to pay the return shipping as well. Then they told me that their expected turnaround time was 12 weeks. This is a very cheaply made gun (as the price suggests) and the company does not stand behind them.

No issues with the gun so far. It’s not the most expensive but it does what I need it to do. Shoot clays. Recoil is standard with the 20 gauge. I like the gun and I think it looks really nice. Easy to clean and shots pretty nice. However, it does not hold 4 shells only 3. I would recommend this shotgun to anyone looking to shot on a budget.

Finish and quality were a bit disappointing, have had a little trouble with a few feeds and jams, overall for the price i will give it 3 stars but i think they could do better.

After purchasing this gun took it to shoot target loads in pretty warm weather, shot fine. The second I took out to duck hunt in about 20F weather the trigger would get stuck. I could not fire next shot until about 5-10 seconds. Irritating because I bought MAINLY for duck hunting…..

For the price I could not pass it up come a week before duck season opened, I’ve got about 700 rounds of game shot and trap shooting through this gun with only one jam and I believe it was caused by having a two and three-quarter mixed in with 2 3inch shells, Have not got a whole lot of time with real cold weather but so far and 40° and up it’s been great

Have put quite a few rounds through it already with no issues. So far very happy with the purchase and will be used strictly as a waterfowl gun.

Just bought this gun today took it out shooting through about three boxes through it. Overall a pretty nice gun didn’t have any jams really fun to shoot and the kick wasn’t too bad.

Takes a little getting use to with the shell feeder button etc but holds a great pattern and has a great feel to it.

Brought it home, cleaned it, lubed it and went and fired 2 boxes of light dove quail loads without a single misfire. I like the front sight, it’s bright and easy to pick up. Some of the videos I see for this gun are from people who buy it, and shoot it. You should not for a gun before you clean and lube it. My son bought the pump version after using mine, he wanted to try a pump shotgun. I’d buy either one again.

Amazing shotgun. Sleek synthetic style, very lightweight, easy disassembly for cleaning, and cycles shells very well. Tried tactical slugs, dove loads, 00 buckshot, and 3” waterfowl loads, and it cycled very smoothly with all of them. Only downfall would be the action lock to load the first round in the chamber. Button Placement isn’t too convenient for your other hand while pulling the action back. Overall would highly recommend for the price

Really great entry level gun! Perfect for my needs. It didn’t have any misfires the first time out on a clay shooting course. Feels really good!
