Introducing the Charter Arms .45 ACP caliber Pitbull. The unique design provides a dual coil spring assembly located in the extractor which allows for the insertion and retention of the .45 ACP caliber cartridge in each chamber of the revolvers’ cylinder. (No moon clips required) This patented system allows the shooter ease of ejecting spent cartridges for immediate reloading. Charter Arms has taken the difficulty of rimless loading and ejection to the simplicity of the rimmed cartridge in the revolver industry.

Had it at the rang today at 20 ft had a nice 1 1/2 inch group very nice double action trigger I'm really liking this gun. Had no trouble hitting the gong at 100 feet. Great price it's no Ruger and I have many. All in all I might just add the 9mm too. Plus you don't have to mess around with those stupid moon clips. I'm so glad I got this instead of the smith 45 acp. Grabagun shipped it out fairly quick, my first charter arms and won't be the last!

Great gun and fun to shoot. This is my daughters favorate gun to shoot at the range and my favorate carry piece. I love the .45 ACP round and its most fun in a wheel gun! Lol. It really is fun.

bought it, shot it , like it.amazing little gun. very clever idea of the integral clips in the ejector star... much better than moon clips. I found this gun like all the other charter arms revolvers I've owned , so - so double action . so load up the internals with oil & dry fire the dickens out of it ( at least 200-300 cycles) & it will greatly improve the double action trigger pull.only real negative it does have sharp edges on trigger quard & where barrel mates to frame.

Love this .45 ACP revolver ! There’s a few rough edges, but not unexpected at this price point. As always GRABAGUN shipped fast !

Excellent firearm so far, I have put over 400 rounds through this revolver. Very accurate considering the fixed front sight and notched rear sight. The double action is smooth and can easily be staged. The single action trigger pull is light and crisp. The only accessory added was a bateleur grip. The factory grips were fine, but the bateleur grip is outstanding. I use quick strips and/or a spare .45 ACP magazine for reloading the cylinder. Transaction and shipping with Grab-a-Gun was easy and fast.

But I didn't want to add to the calibers that I have to keep in stock. Since I had only 1 45acp I grabbed this. The 9mm was a close second choice. Love not having to use moon clips.

This is a good revolver, I like that I do not have to use moon clips. It is not however rated for +P ammo. Then again with it being an alloy gun recoil is a factor. You will feel it when you let one go. I would almost prefer steel in this case. But this is a gun meant to be carried lot shot a little. The reason for four stars , sharp recoil and extraction can sometimes be sticky.

I am completely happy with my purchase. The fit and finish of the CA .45 ACP revolver is quite good. Recoil is a little stout, but understandable for the caliber. It shoots to point of aim with 200 and 230 grain bullets. The system of securing the cartridge and loading is a little awkward, but not hard to get used to. If you need to reload quickly, you're in trouble. In a gun fight, you'd be better off with a 1911 or a wheel gun that uses moon clips. Overall, it's a fun gun to own and shoot.

Other than the DA been g on the heavy side, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, the revolver is excellent. Points naturally and fits medium/small hands comfortably. You need to practice loading/unloading a bit, but not bad once you get the hang of it. Looking at the wrong end of this beast could well cause cardiac arrest.

I love me some 45 ACPs. This is a nice little revolver in stainless steel and you don't need "moon clips" or "half-moon clips" - there is a ball-detent in each charge hole that retains the case until you eject them all. I like it! If you only have five rounds, make 'em count! ERSJR

Nice daily carry gun. Well made weapon. My first charter arms purchased. Very impressed with the craftsmanship. Shoots well. Handles factory and reloads well. Finish is a little lacking.

Great gun would like to get a 40cal. It shouts great not bad recoil for a 45. Nice gun would highly recommend it.

First of all, this is not a Smith & Wesson or a Ruger. The Pitbull may have a few sharp edges, the lock-up may not be vault like or the .45 acp may not have the smoothest action (but with dry and live fire it really improves) but make no mistake, this revolver will shoot and shoot well. I have 250 or so rounds through it so far and it has gone bang every time. Hits POA every time and just feels good in the hand. Will it replace my 586 or my gp100? no but I will be buying more Charter Arms Revolvers. Great price point for a Excellent functioning revolver. Besides - it’s a .45 acp!

Great revolver, lightweight yet powerful. Smooth action, easy double action staging, accurate with fixed sights. Perfect for self protection/concealed carry.
