The 9mm Rimless Revolver PitBull now features a 5-shot cylinder in line with the rest of the PitBull family. The 9mm uses same unique rimless cartridge extractor assembly system as the Charter Arms .40 caliber Rimless Revolver. A dual coil spring assembly located in the extractor allows insertion and retention of a 9mm cartridge in each chamber of the revolver’s cylinder. After firing, the shooter can easily eject the spent cartridges for immediate reloading. Nick Ecker, President of Charter Arms, added, “Shooting enthusiasts will appreciate owning an American made revolver in 9mm and finding ammo is readily available and affordable. With its reduced recoil, the PITBULL is user friendly for even the beginning shooter.

2 years agoMy first Charter Arms gun. So far, very please with the quality and feel. I wanted a revolver and wanted the low cost 9mm ammo. The bonus here is no moon clips. Grabagun FFL transfer was simple. Would definitely buy again.

1 year agoI give a 3 star only because after returning to factory, C.A. was able to fix. they replaced the 6rd cylinder with a 5rd cylinder. Ejection is very hard, carry a small hammer is suggested.

1 year agoI don't know how old the 6 shot cylinder Pitbulls are but the new Pitbulls are 5 shot cylinders ! I have found absolutely nothing wrong with my Pitbull purchased on 12-29-2015 !

1 year agoI was looking for a 9mm revolver, but as you're probably aware. It's an unusual caliber for a revolver. What makes this one stand out against the competitors is the larger grips (I wear XL gloves), so finding one that fit my hand was important. Plus, this one doesn't use 'moon clips', which can break, bend or get lost.I read reviews that others had issues ejecting spent shells. I can tell you from first hand experience, I have had NO issues, none...zip...nada. They come right out, very … Read More

1 year agoOne other comment, for those who had bad experiences with the Charter Arms Pitbull, 9mm. Those were with the original 6-shot cylinder. The new version corrected the flaws and its easy to discern the difference, the new one is a 5-cylinder model. I have none of the issues that the original models had.

1 year agoBought mine at the end of Summer 2017. This is a great revolver! A very accurate shooter. It's in my daily carry rotation.

1 year agoA little gritty when I first received it. After a good cleaning and some break in time it runs smooth as butter. No problems and goes bang everytime I pull the trigger.

1 year agoYes, you do not need to use moon clips, but it does not function well when it gets dirty. I believe they recommend cleaning after 50 rounds which isn't much at the range. Mine had a canted barrel and something wrong with the action, which Carter Arms fixed quickly. If your really hate moon clips, want to get better with a stubbie, but don't plan to fire a lot of rounds before cleaning, then this is like your only option. 4 stars for something different and standing behind their product - all made in the USA with USA parts.

1 year agoIt is a good idea, but the fit and finish of this gun is poor. originally held six rounds but problems required a recall. Problems i encountered were sharp edges around point of attachment for crane, trigger guard and trigger. Also had a accidental discharge due to lack of cross hatching on hammer; it slipped out from under my thumb while de-cocking.

1 year agoPros: 9mm, which is the caliber that I wanted for my first revolver nice-looking and easy-to-use cons: does not match the accuracy of a semi-automatic limited to 5 rounds

1 year agoShot 150 rounds, no issues, nice grip size.Had to file front sight .080 to get the sight PICTURE i like, front And rear sight level, target center above thAt( used brownelLs fOrmula for sight correction, was shooting 12” low at 50’) 6” grOups at 50 ft, nice gun for the money. Made in usa

1 year agoGreat handgun! The only thing I discovered that should be changed is the front sight. The front sight is too high. Overall I’m very happy with it

1 year agoExcellent made revolver, would recommend to anyone that’s wants quality built firearm that is way affordable than s&w or Colt

1 year agoAfter first 60 rounds, this is a good snub nose revolver. It is as accurate single and double action as my 38 SPL snub nose revolvers. Action is stiff but should smooth out with use. Fit and finish is adequate. It needed cleaning after 60 rounds to operate correctly. This seems to be a durable gun that doesn't need moon clips to shoot rimless ammo...Read More Read more about review stating Good 9MM Revolver

1 year agoDecent handgun. Ejector mechanism is VERY stiff to begin with, so keep a little push bar handy to help it along. Shots seems to fire a bit lower than i'm used to but with 9mm being plentiful you'll have plenty of time to get used to it. Seems reliable for a CC but don't expect to go competitive with it.

1 year agoJust came from range. Weapon performed perfectly. No issues. Accurate and really fits my hand well. Larger frame than my Taurus 905, which I traded in after 50 rounds because I really hate the moon clips. I have the Charter Arms .380 and .45ACP revolers as well and love them just as much. Price point is on the money, pun intended. Very satisfied w...Read More Read more about review stating Just came from range. Weapon
