Christensen Arms Mesa 6.5 PRC 24″ 1:8 Sporter Black/Gray Webbing Stock 801-01021-00

I am amazed at the quality of this rifle for the price! The trigger is fantastic. The barrel break-in was as quick and easy as I have ever had on a production rifle. Fit of the action and floor plate to stock is what you would expect from a custom hand finished rifle. The Cerekote finish is flawless and the seamless brake is amazing. I found 5 boxes of Hornady ELDM and shot that up for barrel break in and initial accuracy testing. My rifle shoots the factory 147 grain load into just under .5" at 110 yards at a shade over 2900FPS. This rifle is a great value and a joy to shoot with or without the brake. A+

Took the rifle to a gunsmith to have the bedding checked he checked it and found excessive headspace my boss bought one in august in 28 Nosler because of excessive headspace it would blow the top of the case off at the neck I think they need to check quality control!!

I like the gun, the weight, the looks, and the feel, but I'm not totally happy. It will shoot less than 1 MOA with Hornady ELD-X's but I can't get it to do that with Nosler ABs, Nosler LRABs, or Barnes LRXs. The trigger will not go below 2.5lbs, which is probably due to a heavy firing pin spring. The chamber is terribly rough and there is very little free-bore. In fact, factory Hornady ELD-X ammo is pushed into the lands. The first 4-5 shots had very heavy bolt lift.(I've been reloading for 30+

I owned my last rifle for 45 years and made modifications along the way. Custom trigger, lighter stock. I wore out the barrel after thousands of rounds and started looking for a rifle that had all the qualities I wanted, lightweight, accurate, custom trigger, muzzle break, right from the factory. The Christensen Arms Mesa in 6.5 PRC has it all. I am very happy with this rifle.

This is one of the best shooting guns I’ve ever shot. I’m using hornady precision hunter eld-x 143gr. highly recommend this gun.

Took 44 shots for groups to shrink from 1" to .25 inch. Very pleased with purchase. Handles great. Looking forward to hunting this fall with it.
