1 year agoAmazing weapon. I had to do some tuning to the grip safety and extractor (spent cases kept hitting my head) but it shoots like a dream. Thanks to GAG for getting it to me asap...2days!

1 year agoA very nice handguN but with tax this is $1000 Pistol and colt only supplied one magazine. The worst of it is, colt doesn’t even have the magazines in stock, you have to buy A Magazine from another manufacturer and hope it will work. So much for colt’s customer support! Purchased from Grabagun, excellent service!

1 year agoI am very pleased with the quality of this colt. the slide to frame fit is much better than colts of old, and buttery smooth. It came well packaged in the traditional blue case. only had one mag in the box but oh well, I use Wilson combat and Cobra mags for 9mm 1911s anyway.

1 year agoColt was a lot better quality a few years ago but this weapon is no slouch. When I first got it, it would not feed HP or Flat nosed FMJ. I inquired with Colt and it was suggested I avoid certain types of ammo. HUH? Took it to an excellent GunSmith who polished and Performance tuned and now it eats anything I put in it. It is now an excellent firearm and I would not hesitate to depend on it. Plan on spending an extra $350.00 to make it perfect.

1 year agoWith this pistol I had to have the tension reduced in the extractor. It was throwing spent cases right, far right, and at my forehead. The trigger pull I brought down to 4 lb., it was almost 6lb. to start with. I did this by adjusting the sear spring, not a hard job. Only one magazine, for a thousand bucks, come on Colt. I will not be changing the grips. I've read complaints of the grips being a little rough on the hands. I did not find that condition at all. I had to adjust the sights.

1 year agoReturning to the 1911 after using revolvers and striker fired pistols for many years, was very pleased to see this Colt available. Would recommend a thorough lube before using for the first time and there’s definitely a break in period. After about 150 rounds of 115 grain FMJ target Ammo the action and springs were definitely getting smoother. Have put about 300 rounds through it so it’s still early, I’ll only run new brass cased FMJ through it, but so far, seems to get better with more use. Good trigger and very accurate. Great way to come back to the 1911.

1 year agoGreat gun. Glad I could find a 9mm Colt 1911 Government Competition in Stainless. There were not many out there. Process was easy and it arrived on time.
