It's a beautiful baby boy! Lol I was just able to pick it up yesterday. I have wanted one my whole life. It felt great in my hands. I can't wait to take my grandsons to the range. I'll keep you posted.

Cylinder release has a catch. Google it. Not what you want with $1500+ "new" gun. Guns.com said to call Colt, not their problem.

I own alot of pistols and when I first shot this with 38 special, I was so impressed it put all my autos to shame on how smooth this was. Then I threw some 357 mags in her and wow. You can't wipe that smile off my face. This is the most smoothest, comfortable, accurate and stable gun I own. I LOVE this gun.

Beautiful firearm, excellent trigger, shoots well. Only negative is that crappy rear sight. I am replacing it with the new Wilson Combat sight.

This Firearm is the absolute pinnacle of revolvers. Beautiful design, Smooth action, little recoil for a .357. Grip is solid, and the build quality is like a dream. There won't ever be another like it.

Wanted a python since 1980 finally had enough discretionary cash ! Fired 20 rounds gun locks up! 45:00 dollars to return! Still no word from colt except they received it. You would think a 1800.00 dollar gun would be right from factory! Never again!!

Would like to give it a minus 2 stars. After 75 rounds of 38sp the cylinder would not close. Colt wanted me to pay to ship it for repair. After a heated conversation, Colt decided to send me shipping through FedEx. Only after I shipped the gun that cost $1699 did I see in the fine print, that Colt only provided $100 of loss or damage insurance. I guess it would be "Oh Well", if it was lost or damaged. Colt has had my gun 30 days now and no word. My inquiries are met with, "No Available Information". Don't waste your money, buy a 686 Smith or a Ruger GP100 from Palmetto.

It was a gift to my wife and she said this is probably her best .357 revolver she ever had (and she has quite a few) with Ruger GP100 close second (or may be a tie).
