1 year agoI purchased the 45 Schofield 230gr RNFP for use in a Pietta 1860 Army revolver fitted with a Howell conversion cylinder. The ammo is a perfect choice for use in this open top revolver. It is slightly shorter than the 45 Colt, solving OAL problems with some Colt loads, and loaded to a lesser velocity to keep the pressures to a safe level. I found that it is fairly accurate and has a soft recoil in the reproduction pistol.
