The Cascade is CVA’s first ever bolt-action centerfire rifle. Long the leader in both muzzle-loading rifles and single-shot centerfires, CVA has applied it’s nearly 50 years of experience into making what they feel to be the best bolt-action on the market. The Cascade’s 22 inch 4140 carbon steel barrel is finished in a rich, matte blue and features a threaded muzzle, making it ready for a brake or suppressor whenever you are (protective thread cap included). The bolt design incorporates a 70 degree throw for smooth and fast operation, plus generous scope clearance. The two-position safety is conveniently located for natural and instantaneous operation. And loading is a breeze with its four round, flush fit, detachable magazine (extra magazines available from CVA). CVA’s own charcoal gray, synthetic stock is fiber-glass reinforced and has a SoftTouch finish for easy gripping, even in the harshest weather conditions. The buttstock has adjustable length of pull from 13 to 14 inches by way of a removable spacer making the Cascade an ideal gun for still growing youths, small statured adults, or even the full-sized hunter who wants to shorten his stock to accommodate heavy winter clothing. And dual front swivel studs allow for the use of both a sling and a bi-pod at the same time. Scoping up the Cascade is a breeze, as it is compatible with all two piece mounts built for the Savage 110 AccuTrigger models, which are available almost anywhere.

2 years agoI bought the CVA because I like the muzzleloaders. First I went to adjust the trigger and it wouldn't budge even tried needle nose vice grips, come to find out it was glued in. When I went to put stock back on the rear screw was too long and the bolt would not open, had to grind it down. When I was breaking in barrel I noticed the chamber was over sized, the shells would not fit in a full length sizing die so had to purchase a neck sizing die. Now the great, while I was working up a load I shot

2 years agoDecent shooting rifle. Still in load development mode. Trigger is ok, should be able to adjust it lighter than what they allow. Adjusting the trigger, is a whole other ballgame..... adjustment screw was either locktighted in, or cross threaded from the factory. Stripped out while trying to loosen. Decent groups with some factory Ammo. Hornady 120 grain GMX. Took awhile to get barrel clean before first firing. Does seem to be cleaning up a bit quicker with every successive cleaning. Pretty good bang for the buck in my opinion.

2 years agoGreat gun for the price. It would be nice if it had the option to purchase a picatinny rail from sportsman’s when the gun is purchased.

2 years agoThis is a great value for the price. The gun feeds well, is light, and includes features you'd expect to find on higher priced rifles. On my copy there is a little unevenness in the spacing between the stock and barrel, but that's mostly a cosmetic annoyance. When using a bipod or sticks, turning hard to the left or right causes pretty substantial flexion in the stock material and could possibly cause it to touch the barrel. However, I don't see this being an issue in most cases due to the

2 years agoOrdered the CVA Cascade a few weeks ago .. this is an excellent rifle .. it has a wonderful stock and the trigger pull broke clean out of the box at 3lbs with no creep or overtravel .. can't beat it for the price .. great action and with the Bergara barrel I'm grouping just under 1/2 inch at 100 yards .. I won't be supprised if the groups tighten up even more once the barrel is broke in .. This rifle is in 6.5 Creedmore , I added a Vortex Viper 6.5X20X44mm scope and a muzzel brake .. this rifle is a dream to shoot.

2 years agoSuper smooth action after break in period. Take the time to break in the barrel. Accuracy is phenomenal after 50-60 rounds. I threw a brake on the muzzle. Helps a lot due to the rifles overall light weight.

2 years agoJust as good as Ruger, Savage, Remington , TC compass. Price is good , good trigger. Stock handles better than most . Hits 1 MOA easily with Win ammo . Would definitely buy another in other caliber.

1 year agoAwesome weapon for the price. CVA is right on with their line of quality firearms. Extremely accurate right out of the box.

1 year agoSub MOA with premium ammo right out the box It work the best with heavy 140 or 143gr Hornady ELD X or M bullets. Its an excellent budget rifle.

1 year agoThis is a very well made rifle with an excellent trigger The bolt is extremely smooth with little effort needed to cycle Love the feel of the soft touch stock. Haven't been to the range yet so can't comment on it's accuracy. I believe it is made in the Bergara factory and has the same design as a Bergara at several hundred dollars less.

1 year agoAction was tighter than most rifles in this price-range and accuracy was much better than I expected, less than 1"groups @ 100yds with factory ammo....Handloads got it consistently 1/2" or better @ 100yds.....So, if you're on a budget, this is a great rifle.....Also, the Browning AB3 Micro has a better overall action, trigger and fit, but, it comes at a slightly higher price and accuracy was about the same as the Cascade with factory and the same recipe with handloads........Both are well worth the money and I would buy again.

1 year agoBest $500 rifle on the market. I put a muzzle brake on this rifle for another $50 so $550 compared to $7somthing for the same gun in camo. Getting .5 inch groups at 100yards, this one lives up to its reviews for sure. I bought this one as a deer/antelope rifle for my wife and she loves it, she likes the lite weight compared to her Winchester pre 64 model 70 in 270.
