The latest evolution in our semi-automatic shotgun line, the 1012 uses a gas less inertia operating system. Instead of redirecting gas from the barrel to run the action, the 1012 uses a spring within the bolt to store energy during the shotgun’s recoil, spending this energy a split second later to rotate and unlock the twin lugs from the barrel extension and withdraw the spent shell. The major advantage of an inertia system is the less stringent maintenance schedule. Unlike gas guns that need periodic cleaning of the piston and magazine tube, the 1012’s needs are vastly fewer. During our testing, we pushed 1012s to 5000 rounds without a drop of oil or cleaning of any sort, while experiencing zero parts breakage or malfunctions. In normal field use, the occasional cleaning and oiling should be more than enough. Additionally, the gas less system itself is tuned to run a wider variety of shells from light recoiling target loads up to the smoking hot 3 inches magnums currently on the market.

1 year agoGreat shotgun overall. Very happy with purchase. Bronze looks even better in person. Love that you get a hard case and 5 chokes included. Got about 300 rounds through it and it functions fine. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an inertia shotgun. Only ammo that gave a problem was xtra lite 1oz 8 shot target loads which makes sense with it being an inertia shotgun. I’ve stuck with heavy 1 1/8oz 7 1/2 target loads and had no issues.

1 year agoThis is a gorgeous shotgun that is very light, comes with 5 chokes, a case and shoots beautifully! Glad I found this as I prefer it over a Benelli anyday!!!

1 year agoMy new cz 1012 is top notch , I have other semi auto shotguns that include recoil operated , gas operated and this one is inertia operate. It is my go to shotgun for everything. It has nice dark beautiful wood and it cycles everything from low brass top 3 in magnum. I'm very happy with it and would recommend it to anyone.

1 year agoI have shot around 300 rounds of light and cheap loads without any problems. It looks and shoots great. My friend have a benelli ethos and the only difference is the weight of the gun and the benelli being more pricey. For the price your getting a case with a gun sock and shims as well as 5 extended chokes.

1 year agoI love this gun. Put about 500 rounds thru it and used 2 3/4 target rounds to 3” BBB and nothing as jammed it up. Very light and easy to get in shoulder to fire. The recoil is not bad at all. My daughter shot it, although a little big for her, she was able to handle the gun without issue. Right now this is my favorite semi-auto 12g I own.

1 year agoArrived on time and in perfect condition. Beautiful stock and quality of build looks great. All the extras to use in various ways and adjust the stick for patterning.

1 year agoThis is a very smooth shooting gun. I tried a variety of shells over three rounds of sporting clays. Never had an issue. I thought this shot better than the 712 also. Recoil is more than manageable and lighter than expected, even with 3” shells. Fit and finish were great. The wood is soft and you need to be careful. The extended chokes are nice quality. Even though they are supposed to be easy to finger tighten, they will work loose unless you use the included wrench. Bottom line I would buy again. I may still purchase a synthetic version for turkey season.

1 year agoGreat inertia driven semi auto 12 gauge shotgun. Shot 100 rounds in my 1st outing with no issues. Ergonomic and light weight. The light weight does end up kicking more than expected… which was easily addressed with an AirTech 10807 recoil pad that fits the stock perfectly.

1 year agoSo far really happy with the CZ 1012. Great for and finish. Solid packaging and choke set. Cycled all ammo I ran through it without any issues: light target loads, heavy field loads, turkey loads, buckshot, to 3” slug shells. Not one issue. Some folks complained about the kick with the CZ. I did not have any complaints about recoil on the gun. Found it smooth and easy for follow up shots. Overall really happy with the purchase.
