Designed in the European style, the Lux has a hogback stock fashioned from turkish walnut. With a cheekpiece and comb ideal for use with its crisp iron sights, this 457 is one classy plinker. Like all 457s, it has an 11mm dovetail for mounting optics and can be quickly and easily swapped to a different chambering with the addition of a second barrel set (sold in our webstore). (1) 5 round magazine is included. If we were to pick one thing that our previous rimfire platforms were lacking, it was an American-style push-to-fire safety – something Hunter’s Education instructors and 4-H shooting coaches have begged us to incorporate for years. Though that was the most obvious change, we also took the opportunity to tweak a load of small things at the same time. In addition to the receiver-mounted, push-to-fire safety, we chopped almost an inch of length from the action and slab-sided it to reduce its footprint and weight. The stamped bottom metal of the 455 is gone, swapped for a classy 2-piece interlocking system. To make scope fitment easier, we ditched the 90 degree bolt rotation in favor of 60 degree, allowing for larger ocular bell diameters with lower ring heights. To top it all off, the 457 now features a trigger adjustable for weight, creep and over-travel. With the exact same swappable barrel system as the 455 and the same reliable polymer magazine system, the 457 is without a doubt the best rimfire platform we’ve ever fielded.

1 year agoI got this 457 Lux because i wanted a high quality .17hmr for my 50th birthday. Something that i can pass to my son as an heirloom. this was the perfect choice. Shoots beautifully right out of the box. Light enough to make hiking up hills easier and super fun to shoot.

1 year agoBest rimfire rifle I have ever shot. VERY acurate right out of hte box. I tried it at 50 yards to see where it shot .... right on zero at 50, moved to 100 yrds, still same bullseye. open sights ( this rifle comes with real open sights, not just bent sheet metl with a groove. Plus the fact you can switch to 22LR and 22 Mag barrels in 5 minutes is a major plus. 1 year agoThis rifle is well crafted with excellent quality and functionality. However, I have to point out two negative things about it. First, the bolt action lever would get loose and ammo(s) would fall out when walking in the woods. Secondly, the display picture on the rifle box and on Sportsman website do not match the real physical rifle; the stock by the barrel shows a curvy look similar to the 455 Training model but the physical rifle is not.

The stock was on that chick rest was better than I thought it would be I was shooting 30 and 40 yards for accurately with Iron sites I’m a trigger guy I have a 1 pound trigger on a 6.5 Grendel. And I like the stop trigger on my 17 HMR CZ I want to buy a 308 in a cuz now Let’s guns are built pretty good
