Built at the request of pheasants forever, the quail is their 2019 youth gun of the year. Nearly identical to the popular CZ Drake, what sets the quail apart is a slightly shorter length of pull that makes it more comfortable to carry and shoot for youth shooters and hunters. The mid-rib delete trims a noticeable amount of weight from the muzzle end of this over/under, making it easier to shoulder and swing. Chambered in 20 gauge and fitted with 28 inches barrels, the quail comes in at the same great price point as the drake, making it a much more attainable investment than most similarly-equipped youth shotguns. Once broken in a bit, extractor guns tend to be substantially easier to open than their ejector counterparts, and this gun is no exception. A single extractor lifts spent shells from the chambers, and the shotgun ships with five interchangeable choke tubes. Built to last a lifetime, stocks are from turkish walnut and the black chrome finish provides substantial corrosion resistance night and day better than a blued gun.

1 year agoSo far so good, that’s only reason for 4 star rating and not five. Only been able to get out once so far and put about a box and a half through it. Fit and finish is nice for the price and the case cz includes is great. Happy so far!!

1 year agolightweight, Working mans pricepoint, great overall feel.... What I really love about it is the fact that the gun Comes with 5 interchangable chokes along with a decent hard case. the cons to the gun are minimal. Some of the cons would be the always cheap spare choke case just like every other manufacturer. another con Ive come to find problematic is the barrel selecter, everytime I Switch my safety off the barrel selecter gets either one: hung up dead middle rendering the gun in-operable or

1 year agoI bought this shotgun, so my son would have a shotgun for trap and five stand shooting and also hunting. So far we have put about 1000 rounds through it and it is fantastic.

1 year agoIt’s no secret that I’m a CZ fan. I purchased this for my wife and daughter to use for upland bird hunting and skeet. This gun swings and aims beautifully in my opinion. It’s not too heavy and the shorter length of pull is great. I really enjoyed shooting it as well. I’m going to get the Drake which is the same gun but a ‘standard’ length of pull at some point in the near future. The fit and finish is excellent. Nice checkering. Only complaint was the CZ sticker stuck to the barrel - it left
