Always one of our most popular Varmint models, the Pro Varmint has a heavy 16-1/2 inches barrel threaded 1/2-28 TPI for use with a suppressor or other muzzle device. Riding in a black-painted laminate stock, it incorporates features found on much more expensive stocks without pushing the price of the rifle through the roof. The short barrel gives plenty of time for the cartridge to get a full burn while increasing the rigidity of the barrel, resulting in a rifle that drives tacks. Quietly. If we were to pick one thing that our previous rimfire platforms were lacking, it was an American-style push-to-fire safety – something Hunter’s Education instructors and 4-H shooting coaches have begged us to incorporate for years. Though that was the most obvious change, we also took the opportunity to tweak a load of small things at the same time. In addition to the receiver-mounted, push-to-fire safety, we chopped almost an inch of length from the action and slab-sided it to reduce its footprint and weight. The stamped bottom metal of the 455 is gone, swapped for a classy 2-piece interlocking system. To make scope fitment easier, we ditched the 90 degree bolt rotation in favor of 60 degree, allowing for larger ocular bell diameters with lower ring heights. To top it all off, the 457 now features a trigger adjustable for weight, creep and over-travel. With the exact same swappable barrel system as the 455 and the same reliable polymer magazine system, the 457 is without a doubt the best rimfire platform we’ve ever fielded.

1 year agoI can honestly say this is probably the most fun to shoot rifle I own. Shipping to my FFL was fast and easy. Once I received the rifle I tried out a bunch of different match grade .22 ammo and found it like Lapua Midas + the best followed by Lapua Center X. Overall quality is great, highly recommended this rifle.

1 year agoI’ve had the rifle for 3 months now and really appreciate the quality. Accuracy is excellent and action is smooth and positive.

1 year agoAccurate rifle with smooth action. did not give the rifle 5 stars due to a few areas CZ missed when painting the stock. Otherwise its a 5 star rifle at a reasonable price point. Don't hesitate to purchase one of these CZ .22LR rifles, especially if you are a painter!

1 year agoI love this gun. The accuracy was stunning. Right out of the box, mounted a scope, and started shooting cloverleafs. Five shot groups into one ragged hole all day long. The trigger is so nice, I did not adjust it, I used it just the way it came from the factory. I also have a CZ452 (note - the mags are inter-changeable) I bought almost 20 years ago. I thought the 452 was accurate but this is light years ahead. The Boyd stock is very nice and solid. The stock inletting is well done and the action … Read More

1 year agoEasily the best feeling .22lr I’ve ever felt. I have JM Marlin model 39s that shoot and feel good but nothing like this! The only bolt action .22lr bar none.

1 year agoI've bought four of them in five months. Two Scouts, one LUX and now a Synthetic. All in .22lr You won't find a better quality or more accurate rifle for the money.

1 year agoI have 5 CZ 457s. For the money, they are the most accurate and reliable firearms . They are built like the Rock of Gibraltar and can be handed down from generation to generation; they are that good

1 year agoI’ve only used the website once, but the gun was promptly delivered. I’ve also only shot the gun at one tournament so far. It took just the first target to get in line and then it was off to the races! I hope I’m not getting ahead of myself, but really looking forward to shooting in the tournament tomorrow.

1 year agoThe body color is nothing like on the website and the barrel is not stable. It moves around and detached to the body.

1 year agoBeautiful looking rifle. Nice fit and finish. Have not shot it yet so can’t comment on that. Bolt is a little stiff so hopefully it’ll move more smoothly after some use.
