I'll update this review after I spend the summer with it, but I just shot a couple of rounds with it this morning and I'm impressed. Very stiff at first, but a fellow club member put a very small amount of grease on the pivot points, and another member showed me how important it was to push the release lever that final 1/8" inch to the right, and all was well.
Nice weight, easy sight picture for this 5' 10" shortie with 30" arms: got me swinging through the targets much better than my previous gun, and scores shot up, so to speak.
Gun snobs at my little gun club all scorned it (but being Mainers, these are the same people who helped my out). Turns out, none them have ever shot the gun. I'm a snob myself when it comes to rifles and revolvers: being unprejudiced about shotguns, I was open minded, and very, very pleased with the performance and quality. Seems like a very solid value—again, I'll update this in a few months, but I'd be surprised (and disappointed) if I have anything negative to report.

I'll confess that I'm a longtime CZ firearms owner & fan. I currently have a couple of CZ handguns and a Redhead Premier in 20 ga - all have been reliable and exhibit excellent quality. The Redhead Target represents the CZ brand well. I purchased the Target in May of 2017 and have shot approx 1100 trouble-free rounds to this point - my use is primarily Sporting Clays with the occasional trap/skeet. I'll shoot roughly 6000 rounds/annually and fully expect this gun to last around 10 years with typical maintenance/cleaning. Lockup is excellent, acceptably smooth and the 30-inch barrels provide a fine balance and sweet swing. Overall quality is really good and I highly recommend this model for folks that shoot south of 5K rounds per year and keep to typical target loads. This is a fine choice for one's first sporting shotgun or if your shot count keeps to the range that I mention. This is my first sporting O/U and I'm very pleased with my pick. My current monthly shot count is much higher than I originally anticipated and this CZ has been flawless in operation/function. I have to mention that the Target is really pretty and who doesn't appreciate a handsome shotgun?

I love my shotgun. Have shot several thousand rounds since I got it in July. Excellent for trap and skeet. I broke 25 straight in skeet and trap. Beautiful gun.
