1 year agoin my 270 Weatherby vanguard it shoots 1.5in at 100 in my xbolt 300wsm shoots 1in at 200yards comparison with the 300 wsm, barnes tsx 180gr shoots about the same but 4in more drop at 200yd with the terminal ascent, shooting a 15in diameter tree (spruce) at 200yd the barnes were getting complete pass tru with 1in exits, 200gr terminal ascent didn't pass tru.

1 year agoThis is a hard review to write. I was all into these bullets. I think this bullet has ALL the components of the perfect bullet but the issue is that the boxes are inconsistent for my 7mm rm. On one box I'll shoot perfect sub MOA groups at 100 yards with all the bullets in the box., and in the next box I'll have about 5 that shoot where I want them to and the rest will shoot 6 inches high and the next 7 inches low! I was really trying to figure out if it was my scope but sadly it wasn't. These bullets can be the perfect bullet but it depends if you get a good batch or not. I've had 2 good boxes and 2 bad.

1 year ago.300wsm 200 gr. Sako rifle. Calling moose from hilltop down into valley. Bull came in from behind me and crested the hill at 20 steps and closing fast. Quick shot straight on and slightly from below. No shoulder contact only pec muscle and up through the back out between 2 ribs. Remarkably little muscle damage. Moose ‘didn’t go 20’. My concern with bullets is never how well they will perform at 500 yards but rather how well will they perform on a charging griz or bull. Passed the test 10/10 will shoot again.

1 year agoI bought a Weatherby Northmark 30-06 for my new hunting rifle. I went through the break in process that was recommended by Weatherby. I could not find any factory ammo in 165 or 180 that would group to save my life! I literally bought every premium load possible. Now....I have a tack driver!

1 year agoBeen using this ammo for 6 months now. Really impressed with accuracy. Longest shots have been 690 yards. Hitting a 16 inch target consistently, other than having a bad shooting day. Sub 1 inch groups at 200 yards with this round in a.300 win mag , using a factory Browning long range McMillan rifle. I’ve tried 4 different loads. This one is a winner for factory ammo (when one can find it).

1 year agoTerminal ascent ammo is just awesome! Bought these to try in my tikka t3x. Rifle absolutely loves them, half inch group at 100 yards all day. Muzzle velocity I got was about 60 ft./s faster than what the box stated. Between me and my son, we have both shot some big mule deer and Whitetail using this gun and ammo. I have yet to recover a bullet yet even with the bullet going through both shoulders and have never needed a follow up shot. Internal damage is more than impressive leaving the vitals looking like a pile of jelly. Furthest shot on game was a ranged 350 yards. Bullet has always left a 1 inch or bigger exit hole. Highly recommend!

1 year agoI looked at the price of the Federal I Terminal Ascent 6.5 Creedmoor and almost choked on the $90 price tag per box. I went to Tiger Ams in Port Coquitlam and bought 5 boxes at $65 per box... saving $125.

1 year agoThis is my "go to" ammunition for my 6.5 Creedmoor-Ruger American. It proved to be very accurate and devastating on deer. Just switched at the end of 22-23 season. Took a 120# doe at 130yds with a frontal neck shot (only one offered) and the bullet performed flawlessly. Entered center neck, broke the spine, and traveled 12" down it toward the tail. Excellent mushroom plus the solid copper base stayed attached. That equaled DRT. Can't ask for better.

1 year agoThis cartridge paired well with my new rifle and was extremely accurate. I did not give it five stars because I have yet to shot at or harvest and animal with it.
