Fusion technology allowed Federal to drastically change the way deer ammunition was seen. Before Fusion, there was a big gap in performance between the economically and Premium loads available to deer hunters. The need to come up with a bullet that is affordable, but can be counted on without fail was met by Fusion. No other bullet in its class is as tough, accurate or lethal.

I was very skeptical of using a .223 for a mule deer but my new huntress grand daughter (11) was scared of the recoil on a 25-06 so we had no choice. She popped her 1st one at 65 yds. Nice young doe, went about 20 feet and dropped. Then she popped her second one, a very large muley due at 110 yards, flipped her right over the fallen tree that was behind her and she DOA before she hit the ground. I was firing a sig sauer m400 tread 5.56 rifle. i fired all 20 rounds of the 62gr bt at a distance of 100 yards. every round hit in or close to the center black circle on the target. I'v had more success with this round than any other.

Great ammo, no misfiring in my AR. Very accurate at 100 yards, 1/2 inch groups. I plan on using it Deer Hunting this season!

Awesome ammo. Shooting a consistent group of about a dime with my rifle, at 100 yards. My go to deer round. Never had a deer go more than 25yards after the shot.

My 11 yr old has a ruger american 556 ranch rifle for deer hunting. We tried vortex 556 70gr and 62gr, and winchester 64gr 223 ammo all shot over 1 inch groups at 100 yards. The fusion 223 62gr shoots sub 3/4 inch groups and does a great job on deer.
