Fusion technology allowed Federal to drastically change the way deer ammunition was seen. Before Fusion, there was a big gap in performance between the economically and Premium loads available to deer hunters. The need to come up with a bullet that is affordable, but can be counted on without fail was met by Fusion. No other bullet in its class is as tough, accurate or lethal.

I've used this in various calibers and it's always worked well for both target and hunting. One surprising thing I've found is that it's the most accurate ammo in my Marlin 336 30-30, much more accurate than the new LeverEvolution (which was terrible). Good price, I'd recommend it.

I picked up a box of these for my new .30-06 as I had shot them before and the sales dude recommended them in 165grain when I told him I was going after Mule Deer this past weekend. I shot almost a box sighting in the gun and attempting to break in the barrel then grabbed 2 more as the price is right and the accuracy was decent. Went out the day after, and stalked a deer into about 75 yards (according to google earth, although it felt further) and dropped one in it's tracks! Bullet passed through the boiler room perfectly. I think it did ricochet inside a little but I won't complain about that as it just grazed the back bone and took out the lungs perfectly. Only found half of one lung when cleaning it out. I can't wait to see how well they perform on a bigger deer and elk next fall!

The best ammunition I have used for caribou hunting. No matter close range or 200 yards this is consistent. I shoot the 180 grain with my Robinson Armament XCR-M .308 never did see my hit caribou walk 50 yards. Likewise it’s abit hard impact at close range and leaves big exit wound due to the skived tip. Very effective round if the wind is a factor. 5/5 Star

I saw this bullet perform with lethal results on this year's Whitetail Deer hunt when I dropped a large doe at 150 yards on the run. This bullet performed magnificently. Instant kill and that's what you want. I will use this bullet exclusively for my Browning, Mark II Safari 25-06. A good gun needs a good bullet and this is the one for me!

270 WSM 150 gr. Pros: low relative price, good quality, always available, very accurate Cons: bullet acts like FMJ's, no bullet expansion unless you hit bone. This I'm sure is due to the high velocity of 270 WSM. The bullet is traveling so fast within 250 yards that there is no bullet expansion in the animal unless you hit dense bone. I've spent hours and hours tracking deer which I shot in the lungs but ran far away... The bullet is more effective when traveling slower. I switched to Win. Super X because they always work while costing the least.

I’ve shoot a 49” bull moose, a 4x4 elk and several deer with my 270Wsm with fusion 150gr. Never ever had an issue, bullet has worked perfectly everytime.

I have been shooting Fusion ammo through my Browning X-Bolt 300WSM for several years. I have taken elk, mule deer and even a pronghorn antelope with the Fusion ammo. I have noticed massive meat loss on all my animals that I shot. I realise that the 180grain is a large bullet but I usually end up losing an entire front quarter from the exit wound. I will be switching ammo, since my other hunting buddies using a similar caliber don't suffer the same meat loss that I have experienced.

I have been using the Fusion for many years with my 280. Recently shot a trophy big horn with 140 grain and it stopped him dead .

I bought the 165 grain 308 bullets to use in my new XPR Winchester Rifle for moose hunting in Millertown, NL. Shot dead a nice sized bull at 280 yards and the bullet hit exactly where I aimed. It entered the vitals right under the fore shoulder and exited the other side with very little damage to the meat. I was very impressed and couldn't believe the accuracy of this bullet and rifle. You won't go wrong by buying the Federal Fusion!

I have been buying Federal Fusion ammunition since they were first introduced, both for my 30-06 and 308. I first noted that the accuracy was close to handloads. I harvested several deer and one cow elk and was quite impressed with the damage to the vitals. But in recent years I've noticed the deer we harvested have been sustaining a full pass through with minimal internal damage and almost non-existent blood trails. Of the four deer my son and I have harvested this year we had one that bled enough for a trail. Bullet performance has been slipping in recent memory. As such we will be going back to handloads for the foreseeable future.

Shooting this ammo out of a brand new Weatherby Vanguard 2 paired with a 3×9-40 Bushnell Trophy scope and I was getting under 1" groups. Definitely going to be my go to ammo

Purchased for a Sako Finnlight 270wsm. Extremely tight tight fit in chamber. Since purchased online, could not return them. Cabela's excellent customer service reimbursed the full amount.

Great rounds, cycle perfectly through my bolt action. Yes I would recommend, even for an AR10 in .308.

I’m giving this ammunition one star because when I received it I was surprised that it was actually for a 5.7x28. Weird. Or maybe I was shipped the wrong item and someone else got my 308s. Anyways when I reported it to palmetto the 308s were then out of stock and I was just out of luck. I’m still waiting on my refund.

I’ve been shooting Federal fusions for years and absolutely love them. For factory hunting ammunition, you can’t get any better for anywhere near the price. Shoots very consistent, and very accurate. It’s sad that the ammo prices have risen so much, but PSA was the only place I’ve found any in almost a year now, and price wise (compared to others online) they were the beat deal I’ve found.

Ordered 20 rds 308 shells and received 50 rds 5.7 x 28mm bullets. Submitted the complaint form and took a week to get a response. They did send a ups return label and I returned them, but have yet to see the credit hit my credit card. Not impressed!

Did not receive the 308’s because your company sent me the wrong caliber and I had to return them, and by then the 308’s was OUT OF STOCK. No help getting the right caliber.

Palmetto had a wrong SKU number that resulted in not filling orders properly. I called the service number and the gal called the warehouse and they worked it out. Don't believe for one minute that this is two-star ammunition, because it isn't. This is Federal Premium Fusion, not some chumpster. Don't confuse a shipping error with the absolute quality of Federal Premium ammunition. If you have a .308 and want quality deer hunting ammo, this is it. This is where quality meets value at any price, because it is worth it. You can't blame PSA for a SKU error which they ended up correcting.

Palmetto State came through again. I have looked in many places for these rounds, and they finally came into stock. Order was acknowledged immediately, shipped within 3 days, delivered on time. The issue from before has been corrected because I received exactly what I ordered. Thank you PSA!
