Federal 308 165gr Trophy Copper Vital-Shok Ammunition 20rds – P308TC2

dont wat time with others brand or bullets, trophy copper makes the job, on deer and moose, i used in 30-06 and 300 win mag

I had no luck grouping on paper so i pulled apart an entire box to weigh the powder in each one, i found that 15 of the 20 rounds were fairly consistent (within1-2 grains) the other 5 shells had 10 grains more powder than the other 15. Thats not good and explains why my groups were horrible. Now i reload my own ammo. Federal did not bother to respond to me on this issue.

Took 3 deer with 3 shots. One at 275 yards, one at 200 plus yards,and one at 50 yards. All 3 shot with .270 Browning.They all dropped on impact.This is a deadly and accurate bullet I live in Winnipeg, Canada and the only problem is, Cabela's does not sell this bullet in .270 any longer.

I provided a very positive review on this cartridg. My level of satisfaction is still very high. It’s ballistics and performance at impact and penetration are excellent for a clean kill and a clean meat. This is why I am very disappointed that Cabela’s does not anymore offer it for the 30-06 caliber. I may go for another retailer.

Out of a Patriot Ordinance Factory P308 Gen 4 they grouped approximately as well as Federal Gold Metal Match 175 Grain. Groups for both were approximately 1.75 inches at 100 yards. The news here isn't the size of the groups, since Patriot Ordinance Factory rifles are NOT known for their accuracy, the news is they performed as well as the extremely accurate Gold Metal Match ammo. I was pleased with the groups, for that rifle, and the ammo cycled perfectly. I haven't tried them on a deer yet, but i am looking forward to this deer season. I selected these because Federal Gold Metal Match is my go to catridge in my bolt action .308 and they perform sub moa. I figured the Federal Premium Trophy Copper would be a safe bet, from an accuracy perspective.

I have chosen this ammo for 2 hunting seasons, it didn't fail to drop a deer and a 6x6 elk! This is good stuff!

I have been using this ammunition for years now hunting white tail at different ranges. Great ammunition. Good groups with it.
