Federal Power-Shok .223Rem 55gr Soft Point 20rds

There was a rebate, which is what attracted me to this offer yet, it was limited to 10 boxes. Silly me ordered 25 boxes.

The rebate is just a lie by federal. I bought 10 boxes last year and so did my son and sent the rebate in and nothing! Just absolutely a waste of time

I have bought tons of these and get my rebate within 30 days. ***** BUT make sure you do what is required for the rebate and don’t miss a thing! It’s a pain but if you take 20 minutes you can do it right. But miss one thing and you won’t get the rebate. But for everyone saying it’s a scam, they are wrong! It works fine. Just a pain.

Dont try to shoulder punch deer with these at long ranges, it wont go well. Besides that, they do the job. I have taken 4 does between 50-150 yards and none have ran more than 50 yards, all had exits. Take broadside shots, put it in the vitals, and they will do the job.

The ammunition is fine, but the rebate that was supposed to come with the price wasn't so good. Federal found a way to not stand behind the rebate. I thought I sent everything in that was needed, and my rebate request was rejected. If your willing to give a discount on a product then just make that the price and do away with rebates.

Rounds are completely different lengths of seating. I measured it with calipers and I bought a bunch of these and maybe good for plinking at varmints. Not serious Ammo. Plus the rebate took forever to get. .030 variation in OAL

bought two bulk packs of federal ammo last year. Had to resend receipt once then received an email conformation that the rebate was "on it's way", never received a check. wrote back to Vista outdoors, no reply!!!! Don't base your purchase on the rebated price. good luck

I use this ammo primarily for killing hogs and it's deadly with proper shot placement. You don't need the sexy ballistic tip expensive ammo for pigs. This round works very well. Federal makes good stuff.

Half the Ammo had terrible finish discoloring on brass. Should cycle just fine, but disappointing for factory new Ammo. Unfortunate this review doesn’t allow attachment of photo.

I love this ammo. It groups well with my 5.56 16" PSA PTAC, 1/9 twist around 1"-1.25" 100 yd. groups. It heald 1" or less groups through both of my sons 1/7 223 Wylde, 18" PSA uppers at 100 yds. Shoothing off Caldwell rest and shooting bags. I've bought this ammo, other places before, usually one box at a time, so I had prior experience. I also have found the 308 150 gr to be exceptionally accurate as well. For 7.99 a box and free shipping with 10 or more--- it was a no brainer for me.

To answer your question as to how well I like the 223 ammo- I suppose it's okay. I just put in storage with the rest of my collection.

The ammunition is good, no problems at all. I use the soft points for hunting. It cycles well in an AR platform and is very accurate in bolt actions.

I like soft point 223 but the 55 grain soft point is too small for anything bigger than small game. Better off using either 62 grain soft point, 77 grain hollow point or just regular 55 grain FMJ. FMJ will fragment, Tumble if its moving at 2500 fpm or greater. And it also produces huge hydrostatic shock.

This brass was in remarkably bad condition. This was not the typical discoloration on the neck from the annealing process. Some of the cases actually had a gritty textured feeling. I’ve seen cleaner brass lodged in the dirt at the range. PSA did their job, they shipped the order quickly and it was well packed.

Hard to find soft point 223, especially at a price in line with mil spect stuff so was glad to find this. I'm sure the standard 55gr stuff is fine for pd but soft nose is better esp for same price.

Bought these for my first ever prairie dog hunt. They functioned reliably and shot where I pointed them.

Federal SP power shock is good ammo - been using for a long time -runs well in AR rifles and bolt actions - last bunch I bought was a good price - thanks

Have not had the occasion to use any of this yet but I have used the Federal Power-b Shok ammunition in the past with good results.

Good product for varmints, Federal has always been a quality product, was very glad they were available
