this is EXCELLENT practice ammo and especially so for “snub nose” revolvers. There is very little smoke or flash, no firing or ejection issues, and accuracy is “better than mine”. It’s a big plus to be able to feel comfortable using this ammo in any self defense situation, which means you don’t have to keep multiple types of ammo in the safe. THere are less expensive practice rounds available, and more expensive self defense rounds available, but this is really good stuff for doing what we really need to do - to be proficient at protecting ourselves and our families.

You’ve asked me to rate this every time I’ve bought it. It was good. it still is good. My wife and I practice with it and carry it.

Ammo does appear it would be good defensive ammo as well as target ammo. Im always happy with the quality if federal ammo.

For around $28 a box this ammo is fantastic. Shot accurately from my snub nose revolver. It doesn't have too much recoil which is helpful in a small gun. They are also not plus p which is great because My revolver is an older one that can't handle the extra pressure of modern +p hollow points. At around 10 yd I shot it at a water jug, entry point was just a .35 caliber hole, exit was a jagged 8 inch diagonal cut in the back side of the jug.
