Doves are done. Federal Upland Steel serves up the patterns and power hunters need for hard-to-hit birds at a price that keeps them shooting all day. The loads are consistent and reliable, with high velocities that make the most of the steel payload. They’re the perfect choice for doves and other light upland game, especially in areas that require the use of non-lead shot.

1 year agoI found that #6 steel shot works great on grouse and hare, even managed to knock a few mallards with it. Worked great on pigeons as well.

1 year agoNEW Go too shell for upland game 1st time buyer, very impressed with the performance of this shell. Cycled flawlessly in my Benelli SBE & my son's Winchester Autoloader. This load is fast & deadly to doves Fellow Hunter was shooting Kent fast steel and had issues with the crimp opening allowing the shot to pour out if you held shell upside down Highly recommend this shell for upland game. My only negative I started in APRIL trying to buy online most companies WERE BACK CRDERED. Federal needs to bulk.up production to meet the demands of Opening Day dove season

1 year agoFinally Started using this season and I am glad I did. Won’t go back to lead shot. No issues cycling or any other issues.

1 year agoPrice was reasonable. availability was great. this was the only place I could find these shells other than federal and they wanted more money.

1 year agoWorked great on doves, and I also pass shot 3 teal. 7 1/2 steel killed better than I thought it would.

1 year agoWent dove hunting with my semi-auto and the shells worked great. They have enough bang to cycle my gun. Alot of low-brass shells won't which turns my gun into a single shot. They also patterned good. Went 5 for 8 on doves on opening day.

1 year agoI wish I bought more of this stuff!! Works like a beaut! Bought some boxes on sale in sept 2020 for 9$ each crazy how it’s now on sale for 19$ in 2022. But jeez bud, this is some good stuff.

1 year agoShoots as expected. Used for both dove and partridge in upstate New York and Shore of Maryland. Patterns well and does the job.

1 year agoKick like a mule!!!!!!!!!! I kind of expected some punch at 1400 fps but these were not fun at all. I have shot 3" mags that were much more enjoyable and these are low base! My first experience with a steel shot was a real education. Probably go with Remmington or Winchester next year if I can sucker one of my buddies into buying the rest of this case from me.

1 year agoBy Far the Best Steel Dove & Quail shell i have shot. They are Fast & Deadly especially with the #6 for High flyers. Not 1 issue out of our guns, Benelli SBE & Winchester Auto Only Issue was finding them Before the Opener, Federal Company needs to Bulk up on Production A friend was shooting Kent Fast steel and he show us the crimp was not finisched he could pour the shot out if held upside down

1 year agoBeen using since the new law went into effect here in California. Works as advertised, recommend to open up your choke.

1 year agoThis shot works fine for pheasants and quail on management areas where non-toxic shot is required. Sufficient shot density and speed. My preference is for 1 oz 12 ga loads to prevent overkill (I like to eat the birds) but they were not available.

1 year agoThe shot shells look really good in the box. Have not had the opportunity to shoot because bird season is over. I could not find steel shells during in season because the stores and online did not have the shot size I wanted.
