Doves are done. Federal Upland Steel serves up the patterns and power hunters need for hard-to-hit birds at a price that keeps them shooting all day. The loads are consistent and reliable, with high velocities that make the most of the steel payload. They’re the perfect choice for doves and other light upland game, especially in areas that require the use of non-lead shot.

1 year agoI have shot a little over 1,000 rounds of this shot in particular. I have put this through my Weatherby Element 20 gauge and a Beretta 686 Silver Pigeon. Reliability 2/5: I used this shot for clay shooting but mainly for dove hunting. Out of a box of 25, I would experience around 3-7 failure to feed on the Weatherby Element. This is an inertia semiautomatic action so they are heavily dependent on having enough recoil to cycle. I tested this shell with the shotgun completely

1 year agoHard hitting low base steel shot shotgun shell. Works as advertised. Decent alternative to led shot as long as your shotgun is recommended for steel shot.

1 year agoVery good ammo for dove season. Great pattern through improved cylinder choke. I would highly recommend this ammo.

1 year agoI love this stuff!!! Shot a limit of quail (10 birds here in CA) with it last week. Performed perfectly in my Steven’s 555 O/U using a skeet choke on the bottom barrel, and improved modified on the top barrel. 9 birds stone dead, and only 1 runner which was likely due to me being a bit off on the jump shot- and even this guy was dropped dead easily with a second shot. ZERO lost birds on this hunt. I’m gonna order a few cases of the stuff when it becomes available again so that I’m stocked up for the next few years.
