The vast amount of my shooting is .22 rifle. I always bring along a couple of handguns. At least one .22 to use up ammo that just doesn't work in my rifles. And always this Ruger Blackhawk convertible 9mm/.38. It's a joy to shoot and much more accurate than I am.

I have purchased several Ruger single actions before, oplus two double actions. All of these guns seemed well built and assembled. On this one, I have had two issues. First, the base pin would slip forward on every shot and lock the action up until I pushed it back into place. I was searching for this model in stainless steel for decades and Sportsmans finally had it. This model does everything you'll ever need a revolver to do, plus it'll last lifetimes without repair. 200 grain bear loads hit the same spot as 9mm 115 grains. What more could you ask for? Because it's so versatile, it'll be the last pistol to leave my stable.

I purchased a box to try this out in my Glock 19 Gen 3. Had 3 failure to feeds in about 30 rounds tried. Two were in one 10-round magazine--one was the last cartridge. Another shooter also had one. I don't typically have any FTFs on this Glock whether shooting FMJs or JHPs. Not sure why but I'll use them up on some targets.
