Improving on the FNP-45 Tactical, developed for the U.S. Joint Combat Pistol Program, the FNX-45 Tactical was born and bred for battle. Like its legendary FN forefathers, this combat handgun was designed to not only survive the battlefield, but to emerge victorious. It is the latest in technological advancements in handgun engineering, offering .45 ACP performance and a host of unique features that no other handgun can match. Its 15 round magazine is precisely engineered to take a dive to the prone position and naturally roll up toward the target. The checkered polymer frame has a low-bore axis for reduced felt recoil, enhanced operator control, and a grip angle that provides unmatched natural point of aim. Four interchangeable backstraps come standard to quickly customize the grip feel. All operating controls are fully ambidextrous for ease of use. The 5.3 inches cold hammer-forged stainless steel barrel has a threaded muzzle to accept sound suppressors, compensators, and other accessories. The stainless steel slide has high-profile combat night sights and includes two mounting bases to accept multiple styles of optional red-dot electronic sights.
Features:
- Raised 3-dot Trijicon green tritium night sights (standard) allow for one-handed operation
- The width of the raised night sights perfectly size up the shoulder width of a target at 25 m
- Slide – external extractor with loaded chamber indicator, front and rear cocking serrations, slide cut and threaded for optional electronic red-dot sight (not included), raised night sights for suppressor use

1 year agoI purchased this firearm and have put at least 3500 rounds through it and zero failures. the sights are right on and the accuracy is amazing. It is pricy however you get what you pay for. It breaks down easy, is simple to clean and maintain. My favorite handgun no question about it.

1 year agoWhen I visited basspro.i was looking for a 45 I started with 1911s than smith and the xd stopped at the hk sitting right next to it the fnx tactical spent 10 minutes getting a feel for this beast knowing of fn reputation and 15+1capacity I bought the fde model took it to the range and fed it everything from ball to 450 smc. Not one single issue.its pricey but when you take into account everything you get its a great buy

1 year agoThe 1911 .45 had been my side arm for several years. The only inconvenience, if I may, is the amount of ammunition it carries. With the FN FNX .45 that inconvenience is over plus is a reliable handgun for everyday protection.

1 year agoI bought this for home defense and conceal carry. I have put over 500 rounds through this weapon down range with no issues. I added a solar powered HUD and a laser on the bottom rail . This is absolutely the best handgun that I have ever owned . Finding a holster that would accommodate the add on accessories was a bit of a challenge but I found a 357 magnum conceal holster works great . If you are wanting a handgun that wont let you down then the FNX tactical is what you want.

1 year agoI am a FN guy...From the Scar 17 to the wild P90 57x28...My EDC is the FN FNX 45 standard with 1000lu stream light...Its a tac driver...in a combat situation it's the weapon I wish the Army picked vs the bought contract P320. (I own both) I use my FN FNX tactical FDE with a thigh holister when I'm out riding at the farm...I've not run across anything or anyone I've felt under gunned to...Its a great weapon..come with 3 15 round mags great for monthly rotations...And if you ever need service or just help FN will answer the telephone!!!!
Only happy with 1911
1 year agoI'm a 1911 guy. I don't like how most plastic pistols feel and shoot. I don't like oversized tactical safety and controls. This pistol is extremely well designed.it is well proportioned, the ambidextrous controls are nice and compact so it doesn't bother right handed shooters. It has a longer throat and strong spring that shoots 250gn colt 45 loads great. The trigger eels long but breaks really light. Way better than any other non1911 pistol I've fired. As blocky and bully as it looks, it feels good in the hand and shoots like it was made for the 45. Something I can't say about any other pistol except the 1911. If your range has one For rent, try it out. It also seems like they fixed the flexible magwell.

1 year agoWhat an amazing gun. I did a ton or research about buying this gun and primarily only heard positive things about it. I usually only get black guns, but the FDE color has grown on me. One negative aspect about this gun that I have personally experienced and saw others talk about was slight difficulty inserting the magazine into the gun-nothing major, but if your into competition shooting than that might be a problem. I mounted a optic that I got for $300 and it co-witnesses which is great if the optic ever fails. Ordered a suppressor recently to give this gun it’s full glory. My girlfriend actually likes shooting this gun more than she does my 9mm Glock. Be ready to spend a pretty penny on additional magazines $55+\each

1 year agoIt's a great suppressor host and has been 100% reliable with anything I have fed it. I purchased this firearm with a Trijicon RMR and it’s surgery precision accurate.

1 year agoI actually have the FNP, which is the bare bones variant, and I got to say, very reliable. Shoots well every time and shots hit the target. If that is from an FNP, I expect much more from the FNX.

1 year agoMy buddies and I go to the range like clockwork every two weeks. Between the 4 of us, there's quite a collection of guns. Many different calibers and brands. One of my buddies has this gun. It is by far all of our favorite. The buttery smooth recoil, high capacity, and accuracy makes this a phenominal gun!

1 year agoExcellent firearm out of the box. Only complaint is lack of aftermarket accessories or match barrels. Also difficult to find extra mags.

1 year agoThis pistol is absolutely flawless. If you’re looking for a FULL size pistol, you can’t beat the FNX 45 Tactical. The recoil with P+ loads isn’t bad at all. It’s feature rich and is somewhat similar to a 1911 with the double action and safety. I already had a SilencerCO Octane 45 and it pairs perfectly with this pistol. No jams, misfires, failures to eject, or any other issues after 1200+ rounds. Note: this Pistol is HUGE. It’s a combat pistol, not an every day carry. For me, it’s my secondary home defense weapon and range tack driver. I’ve never had a pistol this accurate. It’s just awesome to own.

1 year agoBest feeling pistol I’ve put in my hands this far for someone with bigger hands. Very nice weight, hammer & trigger pull. Pairs great with Trijicon RMR Type 2 & Rugged Obsidian 45 suppressor. Had to buy both Black & FDE versions. FN’s best quality pistols I have felt to this day.

1 year agoBest handgun i own. Comes with everything you need, threaded barrel, a place to put a red dot, AMBIDEXTROUS safety/de-cocker, night sights. I have an osprey 45 silencer, and a trijicon red dot and it is so much fun to shoot at the range! Even though it is a large gun, i have conceal carried it for years. Very reliable! It has never failed on me.
