1 year agoThis is my dream gun. It just shoots and shoots. It is very reliable. It is a very inexpensive AR-9. The recoil is less than my AR-15. The last round bolt hold open works 100 percent of the time. There are a couple minor things I wish they did, such as: sell the gun with iron sights, and change the A2 style pistol grip. But other than that it is an awesome gun. I love it.

1 year agoI have had this gun for a while now and it has not given me any problems. The last round bolt hold open works everytime, it feeds any ammo very well. such a good gun. I don't like the pistol grip, I wish they went for a better one. I have put some extras on this gun to make it look pretty sick. It is my favorite gun.

1 year agoVery well made. Note there are no sights. You will have pick up BUISs and/scope. Comes with only ONE magazine (NOT a Glock one). Love it.

1 year agoShoots great with no issues at all. Put 350 rounds through it in first shoot. No failure to feeds or ejects. Ate all the different ammo I put through it and asked for more

1 year agoSeems like pretty quality construction. Better than some of the budget ARs you can find out there. One or two little hick-ups seating magazines but that may just be me getting used to it and not all mags are built the same. No firing issues. Runs pretty clean.

1 year agoHaving constant cycling issues the first trip to the range and I oiled it a bit just to give it a fair chance before hand. using factory mags and 3rd party had major feeding issues. fiocchi FMJ gave me the most trouble and some federal bulk did a little better but i am having issues with it feeding and with the bolt fully seating onto the round with the initial round it strips off the mag even. pending response from freedom ordnance about my issues it is currently a 3 and if this gets no better would really be a 1 as i cant get through a single mag so far

1 year agoGun is fantastic. I have 700 rounds through her as of this moment. Word of warning the stock sgm magazine that came with the gun is extremely problematic. I purchased 4 factory glock mags from shootcenter so i could actually shoot the gun without a DOUBLE feed, jam or stove pipe. The feeder lips on the mag are way to loose and the round ontop pops up and jams every few shots. So not a gun flaw just a bad magazine. The factory glock 31 rd mags were flawless. And after the first few mags of … Read More

1 year agoFreedom ordnance fx9. So far so good. Great budget pistol carbine. Only drawback so far is that you can't feed it aluminum cased bullets. Not a big deal. It runs great on steel as well. Not a great trigger but if you look around you can find a replacement. I'm currently running a velocity steel drop in and its a huge improvement over the stock trigger. Some fitting may be required.

1 year agoi bought this just because i wanted a play toy at the range. price was decent. i added a red dot only on it and once zeroed it was dead on for the little bit i used it (about 100 round). the bad news: the first jam it had was the round getting stuck sideways in the ramp feed area of the upper. This required the range gunsmith and some tools to get it out. after that it misfed about every 7 to 10 rounds where it would not seat the round fully in the chamber. i did some … Read More

1 year agoI had the FX9 for a few months, but ended up giving it to my nephew. It had frequent feed failures no matter what ammo I tried. It is also very "gassy". IMO, the charging HANDLE tolerances are too lose, and a good portion of the blow-back vents right into your face through the charging handle. I've never fired an AR style firearm that has this issue before (I've fired many during my 33-year military career). The primary difference being gas-charged vs. Blow-back cycling, but it shouldn't have out-gassing through the charging handle...

1 year agoVery nice rifle! I love the feel and how it's put together with durability in mind. The weight is a little noticeable and a little more recoil than expected; but the accuracy out the box with an LPVO is amazing! Good trigger, too! Quarter inch groups at 25 yards. Overall, very happy with the purchase!

1 year agoAbsolutely love this rifle. Fun to shoot and super easy to handle. Especially good for my younger daughters who are new to shooting AR style rifles.
