The Fusion Freedom Riptide is an original 1911 series 70 Colt Commander design compatible with standard Colt style replacement parts. Steel CNC machined from Bar-Stock, precision gunsmith fitted frame, slide and barrel. Featuring a black Oxide finish with red Cocobolo wood grips, HD Chrome barrel for excellent accuracy and easy cleaning; positive barrel lock-up, lowered and relieved ejection port, tuned power style extractor, standard Dovetail (Novak Compatible) sight cuts for easy sight change outs. Includes extra magazine, canvas range bag and extra recoil springs.

1 year agoVery nicely built 1911, shoots very good. The only negative note is they put a white front fiber optic sight on it. Got a replacement one on eBay for $10, easy to replace, under 2 minutes. I have several 1911’s and this is definitely a keeper.

1 year agoGot my Riptide a few months ago, like many others I looked at gun forums to see how Fusion was reviewed. Mixed inputs from the various forums but one thing that keyed me into this purchase was the customer service was good and responsive. So I rolled the dice and came up with a win. Fit is awesome, machining was superb and action was like it had bearings between the slide and frame.
