The Hatfield 12 gauge semi-auto shotgun runs via a unique gas/inertia operating system that uses a gas piston to kick the bolt to send it rearward with inertia. This free floating inertia action creates less friction since the bolt is not connected to a heavy bolt carriage and action arms thus allowing the SAS to function dependably with light field loads on up to 3 inches magnums. Stocked with ultra-durable camo-dipped polymer for both stock and fore-end, the SAS also features a 28 inches chrome lined barrel vent rib barrel, with screw in chokes. The SAS is a no-nonsense, highly dependable waterfowl gun for a fraction of the price of other leading brands.

This got a good write up in the March 2018 American Rifleman magazine as well as great reviews on youtube.com. This is a finely crafted shotgun. Thank you!

For the price, I couldn't be happier. There's very little kick (for a 12 gauge), opening day for dove season went without a hitch. Shot a box of shells when I first got it and another 6 since then. Overall, no real complaints yet.

There are good, bad, and mediocre online reviews for the Hatfield SAS, and I'm now certain that the more negative reviews are for earlier versions, which had a slightly … Read More

Just breaking it in. Very pleased. Breakdown/cleaning is easy, but the manual pictures are blurry and kind of confusing. The folks at Hatfield were helpful with guiding me through disassembly, which is pretty simple once you've done it.

Have shot about 100 rounds thru this gun with no issues. Do recommend cleaning the gun throughly before using.

Fit and finish are very nice . Action works very smoothly. Has a very good write up in American Rifleman magazine. At this price point its hard to beat. Thanks Guns.com

Nice looking/feeling gun out of the box - it came in one piece not two as advertised. Had to take out the barrel to get the breach "plug" out - the bolt wouldn't retract. The manual is a total waste - the company says it's redoing it. I strongly recommend, you go to the gun cleaning video at Hatfield's website - this is the "dirtiest" gun I've eve...Read More Read more about review stating Hatfield SAS 12 GA - USA12W
