We haven’t changed our highly successful basic core rimfire concept, but if you’re a dedicated small-gamer, these two new Henry lever actions with thoroughly modern Skinner sights mated to Henry’s well-known rimfire accuracy take our popular Frontier model right square into new territory. Small game can be hard to see, and when there’s a little more on the line than tin cans and Saturday afternoon plinking, precise sights are a must. Since the critters typically hunted rarely stand as still as tin cans do, quick follow-up shots are also frequently needed, and the smooth action we’re famous for is a perfect match for the capabilities of the Skinner sight. In either barrel length, the Small Game Carbine and Rifle are fitted with Skinner’s solid steel rear base and fully adjustable aperture (with 0.096 inches insert or 0.200 inches ghost ring option) specifically dimensioned to line up perfectly with the tall brass bead front sight for easy zeroing, greater visibility, and more precision when it’s needed. We retained the American walnut stock, classic octagon barrel and versatile utility in all three standard 22 rimfires, the long rifle, long, and short to cover everything from trapline to tree-top and beyond, and added a cold-weather, glove-friendly, over-sized large loop lever to this trim four-season hunter. 1 year agoOne thing that attracted me to this particular model is that it includes a rear peep sight that would have cost extra on other Henry .22s and the positioning of that sight makes for a longer sight radius than standard models.

1 year agoI was incredibly saddened and surprised; I had ordered this item online and had to return it because of poor fit and finish. The buttstock was mounted gapped away from the receiver by about 3/16”.

1 year agoI love this little plinker. It's the perfect firearm for young, first-time shooters and a lot of fun for shooters of any age and experience. I've put about 200 rounds through it and have not experienced any issues with cycling, firing or ejecting. I was using 40 grain Remmington Thunderbolt, 22lr. I haven't tried 22-long or 22-short in it. On top of it all, it's beautifully put together.

1 year agoLove this gun! Shot great out of the box. Fit and finish was excellent. I've always wanted a Henry, and this was my retirement gift to myself. The peep sight was perfect for my "OLD EYES". I have the Skinner sight on my Marlin .357 lever gun also and it has turned my accuracy around. Can't recommend it enough for older gun enthusiasts. Action is super smooth. Couldn't be happier, just wish Henry made this in a Yellow Boy Version!
