1 year agoA great, inexpensive plinker. Basic and fun. The safety is interesting and not a bad idea for a single action. I found it is a good idea to test different ammunition. I had one brand of .22 mag (45 grain defense type ammo) tumble at 15 yards, but other ammo in 30 grain weight shot well, about an inch high and ok grouping at 15 yards. .22 LR also shot approx. an inch high so there is some appreciated consistency when switching cylinders. There are a lot of different and fun grips one can purchase for this revolver.

1 year agoI had purchased two of the Rough Rider guns, one of the RR22MCH6 (carbon hardened) and the RR22MBS6. Each with Cocobolo grips, which look great. The guns feel good but the grips are a bit small for my hands. Each gun has had misfires with 22LR or the 22 WMR while at the range. I am looking at taking several different mfg. ammo for the next shoot to see if the ammo is the issue and not the firing pin, as several people have indicated. Any new guns I always clean before I go to a range. I was very disappointed with the RR22MBS6 in that the barrel was filthy, the swab came out black and the 22 LR cylinder showed powder burns on its face. I also have trouble ejecting cartridges from the cylinders and currently have two cartridges stuck in one of the 22 LR cylinders. I will be contacting Heritage about the issues I am having.

1 year agoStraight from the factory it constantly misfired. Heritage fixed the problem. After getting it back I noticed the front sight was on backwards!

1 year agoVery solid, simple pistol. Machine quality and fit are excellent. Easy loading and extracting of spent shells, smooth trigger pull, comfortable grip. Large hands will find the grip a tad short.

1 year agoHave not fired the gun yet but make sure your read everything before ordering from here. the price changes during checkout and they don't do exchanges or returns??

1 year agoGreat first revolver. Bought a 22wmr cylinder. Awesome that it can be interchangeable from 22lr and 22wmr.

1 year agoPoor fit and finish, even for a revolver priced less than $200. A Heritage Rough RIder 4 3/4 I bought six years ago for less than this has a smooth finish and nice dark cocobono grip. This one has a super rough finish and ORANGE cocobonass grip. I can buy a better replacement grip but the overall is far from what I expected.

1 year agoGreat little gun. Does have a quick trigger which I had to get used to. Great for target shooting. Love the handles.

1 year agoGood gun. But the stock grips are a hideous orange color... The fit on the grips is pretty rough as well. Nothing a new set won't fix though. Everything else is good. Solid, smooth action, shoots straight. All good. My only other gripe, is the polymer trigger. But that's neither here nor there. I ordered from Guns.com, and I was a little apprehens...Read More Read more about review stating Rough Rider 9-shot

1 year agoClassic simple cheap well made dependability accurate. 9 shots levels the playing field an now they can be as fast as you if they put a switch on the back of their Glock! But still couldn't afford to practice as much as you for a dime a shot.

1 year agoGreat little target gun, super cheap to shoot, accurate, fun to load… don’t let the low price deter you, it’s one of the best things about this gun. The price doesn’t match the outstanding quality, you get a real cowboy feel when using. Easy to use, the safety is a nice touch for someone who is new to revolvers. Fantastic firearm, with brilliant f...Read More Read more about review stating Great gun for beginner and pro cowboys alike!

1 year agoI love this new pistol! Light, yet well balanced for me. I’m used to a .357 Blackhawk, so this is quite a change! Nice little revolver.

1 year agoI have not had a chance to take it out shooting. But I love the gun. The bird head handle gives it a unique look and feel. Can't wait to use it.

1 year agoFun to shoot, easy to clean, great started handgun, especially for younger kids just starting out since it shoots .22. Bought it for Dad's birthday and he loves it.

1 year agoGreat quality gun for the price. Love the wood grips. Right out of the box hit target 6 out of 10 at 30 yards. Will definitely Italy consider purchasing another one.

1 year agoThe trigger got stuck before i ever fired my first shot other than that ok This is my second heritage rough rider i have bought

1 year agoThis is my second. It's the small bore 3.5 inch barrel model. It's great quality, fits so well in the hand, and is quite accurate. The appearance with the bird head grip is very fine. Operation takes more knowledge and "following the instructions" than a vintage single action revolver, but is keyed towards safety and safe shooting. A solid "gr...Read More Read more about review stating This is my second. It's
