2 years agoJust took it to the range yesterday. on the funometer scale of 1 to 10, i'd almost have to give it an 11. The sights were dead on out of the box and we were able to pop barbasol cans at 100 yards off a bean bag. Dollar for dollar one of the funnest guns i've ever shot.

2 years agoA lot of fun to shoot....when it goes off. Usually 3 or 4 out of the 6 will not fire. Tried sever brands of ammo with the same result. Then I noticed the firing pin is rounded on the end which is bad for any RIM FIRE. I'm returning to heritage for repair. Other than that, it is decent quality for the price.

2 years agoI have had two other rough riders prior to this one. Overall very good quality vs. one of the others. The only gripe I have, is that the screw on the adjustable rear sight fell out in the field the first time I used it. I have converted this into a "Ranch rifle" and the fiberoptic sights work extremely well for that application at 35yrds. I had to elevate the rear sight pretty far in order to hit the target. Dead on overlapping groups. more accurate than my 10/22! Just wish they put a stop in that rear elevation screw, so I wouldn't have to make due with a hardware store substitute.

2 years agoI just purchased a Rough Rider 16" & was outside target shooting for the first time. I had a slightly insulated pair of leather gloves on, & it was almost impossible for me to get my finger inside of the trigger guard at 1/2 cock! Do any of the Rough Rider models have a (say 1/4" ID) larger trigger guard? Also, without gloves, my knuckle on my second finger is right up against the back of the finger guard, Very irritating. If it was a .38 or .44,, that would be a huge problem! I did find

2 years agoI have several of these type of Heritage revolvers and this by far is the most consistent. I actually converted it through the mfg. ordered parts to a Rancher model. It cost slightly more to do this vs. buying a Rancher model outright, but the availability was zero on the market for one of those anywhere, so I went that route.

2 years agoFor the price you can not go wrong. Set up as it came out of the box it is as accurate as the person firing it.

2 years agoThis revolver is fun to plink around with at the shooting area. With the long barrel and good sights (on the model with adjustable sights) you can actually hit the target. On the Heritage website you can order many different grips, and magnum 22 cylinders, along with gold colored trigger and hammer.

2 years agoThese little zingers are awesome. Heritage rough Ryder was my first revolver I ever owned now I want more of them. Very accurate and easy to use plus look great. Thanks Heritage.

2 years agoThe Rough Rider cal..22 is going to be part of my collection of Cal..22 fire arms. Do not intend to use for sporting events.this This is a unique style of pistol. I would classify it in the buntline class. Thanks. Bert J. Terrazas

2 years agoI really can not speak about the Heritage Mfg. Rough Rider 9 inch adjustable site revolver since I just bought it. What I can say is that I own the Heritage Mfg. Rough Rider 6 inch adjustable site revolver and it is the reason I bought the 9 inch version of the exact same gun. I have fired the 6 inch version just over 200 rounds and I like it well...Read More Read more about review stating Not exactly the review you ask for but I did the best I could.

2 years agoI like it’s made in USA and it’s made to be a ranchers friend to ward off coyotes and ferrel dogs. Also this gun is designed to see the rounds in the revolver. This Colt single action designed for the USA Army is a great deal!!!! $139.99 you can’t go wrong for this price to have personal protection from 2023! Lawlessness Society needs to kno...Read More Read more about review stating The Gun for all !

2 years agoFinish could be a little better but no complaints.Does exactly what it's supposed to do. Accuracy is better than I expected. Getting 2.5 inch groups @ 15 yrds.

2 years agoFor the price this is a great little revolver. Not going to be the best when it comes to finish or quality, but for some target practice it’s hard to have more fun with a firearm for the price than a rough rider.

2 years agobought for 150 and cant go wrong for a fun plinker. Everyone I have shown this to has laughed at the comedically long barrel.

1 year agoLike the revolver but had I known Heritage was going to drop the price in a few weeks after I ordered it, I would have waited.
