Barrel Lenth: 6.5″
Finish: Blue

Caliber: .22 Combo
Born of the traditions of the Old West, the Rough Rider maintains much of the look and feel of the legendary Single Action Army revolver, only in a scaled down version. Chambered for the .22LR and .22 Magnum cartridges, the Rough Rider is manufactured using state-of-the-art precision machinery that assures its accuracy and reliability. The cylinder lock-up is tight and the perfect timing of the action makes for a handgun that will put its shots where you want ’em.
The machined barrel is micro-threaded and inserted into the frame for the optimal barrel/cylinder gap to give you maximum ammunition performance. A hammer block mounted in the recoil shield provides extra protection and has a red dot indicator that lets you know when the gun is ready for action. A new, more authentic looking flat-sided hammer paired with new exotic cocobolo grips, makes the Rough Rider both functional and handsome. When it comes to the Rough Rider there are no shortcuts taken!
Ideal for hunting, plinking or western action shooting, let the Rough Rider be your choice in a new rimfire revolver from Palmetto State Armory!

1 year agoIt cannot believe how accurate this gun is with fixed sites, whether I am shooting LR or MAG. I bought it because I wanted an inexpensive entry into single action revolvers, and it has become one of my favorites, especially when shooting MAG rounds. I've owned mine for 8 years and the finish should be terrible because I am guilty of neglecting to clean and store it prop[erly, but it is as good as the day I bought it. Trust me, if you want a 22 SA revolver that offers simplicity, quality, durability and a whole lot of fun...this is your baby!

1 year agoI haven’t had the time to shoot the Heritage 9 shot yet. It’s easy to switch cylinders from long rifle to magnum and its basic operation is smooth. Can’t wait to get on the range to test accuracy. It’s a beautiful gun with great looking cocobolo wood on the grips.

1 year agoEverything on this revolver is tight and smooth. The grip is a darker wood than the picture, but I like it better, so no complaints.

1 year agogreat gun for a good price. It shoots very well at steel target out to 20 yrds. the only complant I have is the frame is painted black and it can come off in areas fairly easy or it would have rated better.

1 year agoRight now it's been returned to Taurus to repair the hammer that locks up every 7 to8 rounds , so I'm no very impressed with it!!!

1 year agoLove this little gun! Just got it recently, and it has quickly turned into my go to pinker out on my property. I've put well over 1000 rounds of. 22 lr, .22 short, .22 CB and both Colibri and Suoer Colibri through it without a single issue. I've even shot a few rounds of. 22 snake shot out of it. Fun factor is through the roof with this one! Especially at the price!!

1 year agoVery nice for the price. Was not expecting much for how cheap it was but it's very solid and accurate.

1 year agoIt's a utility grade gun. I've had it a couple of months, shot it twice, shot 200 rds through it so far (22 lr). My sights are right on. I love it. Didn't see the case hardened frame model until after I got this one. More money ($50?)/ for .22 WMR cylinder) but I like case hardened. Now I suppose I will have to buy a rig/holster. Hold the trigger and slap the hammer. Great bang for the buck ratio. Switching cylinders fast and easy.

1 year agoHad one before and gave it to one of the kids...It had a shorter barrel...Really like this with the longer barrel...Accuracy...

1 year agoMake sure you put Lok-Tite on your screws. 24 rounds through mine and it fell apart. I’m missing the screw that holds the ejector to the barrel. All screws get loose with out the Lok-Tite.

1 year agoInexpesive and stupid fun for under $200. Bought the combo because I always wanted a .22 magnum. Action is a little rough on the onset, but after some shots it all runs smooth. There are other guns in the same price range with a bigger caliber, but this is just fun all around. Blade sight take's a bit of adjustment, afterwards you should be grinning like a school kid. You know you have the want, just do it. Plink, plink on the steel with .22 LR. Bigger plink, plink with magnu. Great gun all around.

1 year agoI bought this pistol to introduce my wife to shooting a pistol. She felt comfortable with the loading and single action. She confidently reloaded it herself and really enjoyed the experience. I purchased it with a LR cylinder and a Magnum cylinder. The Magnum did not shock her and she did a great job hitting the target. I highly recommend for an entry level purchase. Also, it is very accurate at 15-20 yards.

1 year agoThe Heritage Rough Rider is a really nice gun. It shoots very accurately. I've used both 22LR & 22 WMR and both perform well. I love the fact that it has a safety on it. I had not realized this at the time I placed the order. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is due to it being so heavy. I realize this may not be a fair criticism, but it is much heavier than the old Ruger 22LR/22 WMR I'm used to shooting. I believe part of this is due to the barrel being a bit longer but was still

1 year agoGood value. Range time no problems with the .22wmr. Pretty accurate if you do your part. Fixed sights were on target. I would call the finish "early rustic cowboy" or possibly "pre-distressed for stress relief". You will not worry about scratching it. Exception... grips. They are pretty nice however a bit small for my hand which may be a benefit for young or small shooters. Go-to revolvers - Super Blackhawk or 629 however this is apples and oranges.

1 year agoThe grip isn't perfect, has a high spot right where my middle finger wants to sit. Other than that it was a steal on sale with a rebate!

1 year agoFiring pin got stuck in the forward position upon my first time firing the weapon it was under an empty chamber the cylinder would not rotate, I contacted heritage and they told me that I’ll have to pay for repairs on a new fire arm that I was never able to fire once they informed me it was out of warranty from the date of manufacture it must have sat around for quite some time, it was a Christmas gift from my wife from the time of purchase it had only been five days from date of purchase.(PSA
