Born of the traditions of the Old West, the Rough Rider maintains much of the look and feel of the legendary Single Action Army revolver, only in a scaled down version. Chambered for the .22LR, the Rough Rider is manufactured using state-of-the-art precision machinery that assures its accuracy and reliability. The cylinder lock-up is tight and the perfect timing of the action makes for a handgun that will put its shots where you want ’em.

The machined barrel is micro-threaded and inserted into the frame for the optimal barrel/cylinder gap to give you maximum ammunition performance. A hammer block mounted in the recoil shield provides extra protection and has a red dot indicator that lets you know when the gun is ready for action. A new, more authentic looking flat-sided hammer paired with new exotic cocobolo grips, makes the Rough Rider both functional and handsome. When it comes to the Rough Rider there are no shortcuts taken!

Ideal for hunting, plinking or western action shooting, let the Rough Rider be your choice in a new rimfire revolver.

  • Blued finish
  • Flag-inspired poly grip

Good quality. Well constructed. Looks great. Just got the magnum cylinder for it and I can't wait to get out and shoot it.

5 starts to PSA for Good price and free shipping 3 for heritage for their low quality Just like everyone else i I got this version for the grips had it for 2 months didn't shoot it yet was on the table all the time and baaam grips started peeling left and right low quality paint I'm spraying it clear coat to help prevent peeling the rest of it , now it looks like an old antique revolver I contacted heritage but not respons so far I'd recommend clear coating the grip so it last longer ,than 2 months

Fell in love with American flag grips. Attracted to the old west look and interchangeable cylinder. Very affordable to own and shoot often..

It's good, but I don't like the hammer block. Unnecessary. Plus needs bluing on the frame, not paint.

A well built classic revolver. Can’t beat the price. It’s a great plinker with ammo prices the way they are right now. Clean the cylinder well after shooting and you won’t have any problems.

Fun range toy. Looks amazing, gets looks and praise from everyone and little to no recoil or sound when shooting.

Great little gun for the price. Site is really poor. They cannot be changed out. Too bad. This is a simple 22L pistol and a great starter gun for new and young shooters. I painted the front and back sites with White out and it helped. I might try to find a florescent paint.

Make no mistake, this is not a defensive weapon. This is an old west feeling plinking gun that’s just plain FUN! Great for training a newbie in firearms safety or killing soda cans. I got an authentic looking holster to complete the ensemble. I love this piece.

More beautiful than I had imagined. Great balance. feels comfortable in the hand. Looks great with a black fast draw holster! As accurate as the shooter! Price was very affordable for the type gun it is! I give my Heritage Rough Rider American Flag edition a score of 100%! All my buddies love it too!

Nice revolver.. nothing fancy just a simple .22lr or you can even change to the WMR cylinder. Fun to shoot with no problems at all. I love it and would recommend.

Looks like a wild wild west revolver. Fit and finish ok for the price. It keeps jamming when firing after a few shots. Ok when no bullets. Maybe it's the gun or the bullets. Tbd. I would probably not buy again unless it's your first gun. Stick to at least 9mm. Reloading after just 6 shots or less is cumbersome as well. Plus I must aim right down to hit target. Probably shot over 100 rounds by this time. Cheap ammo in Feb 2021.

Looks uh.... rough. Like it’s been used. Cylinder loose, like when I do ejecting, as soon as it clicks then stop right there otherwise cylinder rotated further and defeat the purpose, ie. ejector rod will not come inside barrel to push out case. Please, buy in stores for this kind of gun.

Nice little plinking gun. Craftsmanship is respectable considering the price. Now, this is probably just me, but I see these old style revolvers as an excellent introduction to not only shooting, but an opportunity to teach a young shooter, just how far technology has advanced since guns of this design and function ruled the day. Hopefully, the lesson is imparted, and appreciation for technology is achieved, while holding on to the history and progress of American firearms since days of the old West.

I bought this revolver to teach my 8 year old how to shoot. Ironically, I love it more than she does. It is a great firearm for beginners or collectors. It is also fantastic for teaching the basic mechanics of how a firearm works. Highly recommend!

A SA revolver with a 'safety' is a "RED FLAG"; I was dumb enuf to buy one; 4 out of 6 shaved lead @ the forcing cone; 4 out of 6 in .22WRM did not fire....Buy a Ruger.

My wife likes shooting this gun. She is also a veteran and loves the weapons I buy from you. I will continue purchasing more guns from you. Thank you ????.

Dun little nostalgic patriotic gun. Misfired the first 5 trigger pulls, then misfires about 3 out of every cylinder .... for both guns I bought. After about 200 total shots all screws on handle needed to be tightened. Neat little fun fun but NOT QUALITY. Guess I didn’t expect too much for the price. But too bad not a little better out of the Christmas wrapping paper for my boys.

It's a very good good. Reason why your having problems is the ammo. Use good ammo. CCI 22 lr. You shouldn't have problems. Keep gun clean. You say safeties are a red flag. Maybe for you, but not for others. These guns are made for the novice and occasional shooter.

Only thing just have to figure out how it shoots as far as high or low. Otherwise very satisfied. Thank you PSA and Heritage.

Good for the price but not much else. Quality of parts is good where it matters, but there were minor issues (like mine, the ejector rod cover was pitted and the screw holding it on keeps backing out, the front sight was bent and needed straightened, etc.). Handles are also very cheap plastic and the American Flag decal has all rubbed off in only a year and a half.
